VSAT wrote This so BS. Police are killing me these days.

If you read the article you would hone that the police said they wouldn't have charged the vet if the owner of the car hadn't pressed charges against him.

I would have done the same thing, I don't care if it is against the law I'm not going to let a dog who can't help himself sit there and roast in the sun

Yin wrote Even if it was against the law, I can't be mad at the guy. The dog was suffering and he helped it. I hope animal advocates do help and get the law changed to include pets. Should be seen as animal cruelty to leave an animal in a hot vehicle like that.
Yeah that's how it should be but the world is messed up.

I would've done the same thing to be honest. Georgia needs to rewrite their laws because saying that you can break a baby out of a car but not a living, breathing animal is disgusting.

The way you phrase that makes it seem like you value a baby's life as equal, if not less, to that of a dog.

Definitely an equal being. If it came across as anything different I definitely didn't mean it.

A human's life is equal to a dog's?

Dogs are equal to humans.

This sickens me. The Veteran was in the right here and how dare they charge him w/ such a crime. He saved a dogs life -- "well the police were on their way" but the dog could have been injured in the time it takes for the law enforcement ( they can take quite a long time )

Dogs are equal to humans.

While that is a nice sentiment and is true outside of the context of human emotions, if you had to choose whether you saved a baby or a dog I'm pretty certain you would go for the baby, or at least I hope the majority of people would.

I would say they are equal in most situations, but not in all.

In this situation they should definitely be equal under the law though.
