As the title states, I got glasses yesterday and am just curious as to how many other people wear glasses or don't wear glasses.

Needless to say, they are hard to get used to and I had no idea that my eyes were that bad until yesterday. Please feel free to comment and talk about the topic at hand as well as the back story if you want to know. Thanks, guys and girls.

Back story:
Well, yesterday I went to the DMV to finally go and get my license/permit (would have went sooner but my father has been in an out of the hospital multiple times in the recent years) and couldn't pass the eye exam. I first thought that the eye glass they were using was just dirty because I didn't think I was having issues seeing. But, after going and getting my eyes tested and what not it was determined that I have a astigmatism and that I am now required to wear glasses when I drive and when I take my tests.

Apparently, the astigmatism stems from my parents both having glasses (getting their poor eye sight genes) and the heavy use of computers and tvs for 18 years. Thanks for reading guys, and feel free to comment back and what not! Take care!

Swagging glasses I got:

Don't worry about paying extra for said glasses. The insurance I have paid for these in full.

I was advised to wear them but immature kids back in the day dropped my confidence so I left it. I just have a 'lazy' left eye.

I wear glasses, I found them quite uncomfortable for the first few days but I'm fine with the now. Mine are currently for long distance because my left is extremely blurry when my right eye is closed. Still awaiting result on tests I had to do yesterday.

I am currently wearing FCUK glasses.

I've had glasses for around eight years now, and you get used to them easily. I switched to contacts for daily use three years ago, and I like them a lot more than glasses. It's nice to have full vision instead of just what your glasses will cover.

I don't wear glasses but I probably will have to one day. My Mum, Dad and brothers all wear glasses but I don't need them (For now)

Had mine since 4th grade. They were pretty easy to get used to. In a day or two they'll feel natural.
I'm going to switch to contacts soon.

Edit: didnt realize I wrote 7.
