Just like the military.

Perfect analogy considering the military are trained to kill first and ask questions later.
I.E: Chris Kyle.

Do you honestly believe this?
When you kill a civilian that turned out to be innocent, they'll charge you with murder.

That is what the whole "They'll fry you if you're wrong" quote was about in the Chris Kyle movie, since you want to use him as reference.

Those civilian death statistics you see are the collateral damage from bombings, not someone pulling a trigger.

I find it incredibly hard to believe that every one of Chris Kyle's confirmed, or alleged, kills were justified, and I also doubt that every one of them was investigated fully.

There is also the video of the crew of a helicopter shooting a bunch of civilians.
That isn't collateral damage, that's murder.

I have watched the video, it is unclear whether or not the homeless man was attempting to take the officer's gun or not, but if he was then the officers had every right to eliminate the thread.

Great thing in this world for police is "Ask, Tell, Make.'

Clearly in multiple videos the officers begin asking the suspect to Drop the Gun, This would be the asking portion.

This all happens after less than lethal force was already applied ie. the taser. Obviously, if any of you monday quarterbacks knew anything about tasers, when a taser makes the sound it did, this means it did not reach contact with the suspect's skin and the electric shock was not appllied to the suspect.

By repeating the command of "drop the weapon" the officers are in compliance with the Tell portion of the system.

When the suspect no longer complies with reasonable and lawful commands from the officers, lethal force is authorized, as they have already tried less than lethal, which is what you all want anyways.

Food for thought, no cop goes to work thinking, maybe i can kill someone today, what would he/she actually gain from that. The tension between police and the community is already bad enough. And if you so arrogantly think all cops want to do is kill people, next time you see someone break the law, don't call 911, I mean you clearly know more than the police so who needs them anyways.

You are honestly going to sit there and say that because the taser didn't work their only other option was to shoot him?
It is not hard for that many police officers to restrain someone non-lethally, and if it is then they should not be police officers.

Saying this was justified is insane.

And you are fully qualified in police tactics, I forgot.
You are certified in all the less than lethal force tactics of police.
I guess i forgot you have dealt with multiple people who are non compliant before, or anyone on any form of hallucinogen or depressant for that matter.

Another food for thought, you all complain about not being able to see the suspect grab onto the officers weapon. If a tree falls in the woods does it make a sound, you'll never know, but that doesn't mean it didn't happen.

I 150% agree with you. Abso-freaken-lutely. All these ignorant Liberal all thing cops are out to kill. They just don't understand the law and refuse to until they're tied up in it. Its pretty unbelievable.

As soon as kids like the rest of the people here get off Fox, CNN, and other new companies like that and do their own research, they'll understand why this guy is a criminal. This, along with many others, is just like the Travon Martin case. All the news focused on was how much of an innocent child this kid was. But as soon as people started investigating it more, they realized that he was a damn thug.

Get over it, guys. Cops don't kill just for fun. Watch carefully in the video. You can see the man try and almost lurch at the cops waist. Why would he do that? To express his innocence? No. I was reaching for a weapon. If you even try to reach for a officers weapon, you deserve that same weapon with 5 in your stomach.

Welcome to the law, boys and girls

The man is a criminal for trying to hit cops, no doubt. They had every right to arrest him. To arrest him. Arrest. At no point should he have been shot with a real gun. Going for a cop's gun doesn't mean he had possession of a gun. The man had mental health issues. Maybe the cops were within the law. That would be the issue then. We need to change the laws and put these guys through better training. They are there to protect and serve. Shooting when a situation gets a little out of control is not ok in my opinion. Unless people are literally in danger (the man has a gun pointed at people or something similar), I don't see where shooting someone is ok. Use the physical training you were given to take these guys down. Use the number of officers to your advantage. If the guy goes for your gun, back up. I don't see where the issue in that is. As far as I know, "police officer" isn't currently in the top ten of most dangerous jobs. I think it will be ok if they were slightly less trigger happy. I don't say this in a "I want cops to die more" sense, but I do want less civilians deaths due to scared cops.

Not sure why I would watch CNN or Fox anyway. Fox has always been on the side of cops (they also tend to lie a lot, which is the main problem.) Not sure about CNN. I stopped really caring about them once it came to light they took money from Bahrain to run a story that wasn't truthful even though they had a reporter that knew the truth.

I dont understand you referencing the fact he had mental health issues. Unless they are meant to be able to profile someone and deduce they have mental health issues and possibly intoxicated then you shouldn't have referenced it.

I disagree with everyone being against the police. Someone said above next time you witness a crime, don't bother calling them. If you're against them, don't dare to rely on them in your time of need.

I don't need to be fully qualified in police tactics to know when this was some cop who got shit scared even when he had 7 other police officers behind him ready to back him up.
They could have taken one limb each and had one person hold his chest down. He's restrained, and he's still alive. It doesn't take a degree in policing to have common sense.

OK. You use that 'If a tree falls in the woods' argument in court, see how hard everyone laughs at you.
