An out of body experience is when your mind and body detach.
It can be scary or desirable, depending on the person.

It's not normally achievable without some substance assistance.

I've never done it. I'm sure it's possible, however.
You're better off trying to lucid dream, it is a comparable experience.

Personally I don't believe in this "phenomena". I believe it's more of a lucid dream, where it's more vivid. I don't actually think your soul can literally "disconnect" from your physical body. To give you a better example of an OBE (out of body experience), watch the movie Insidious. It's a horror movie that is based upon an OBE. Now to answer your question about whether or not its possible without supplements, I believe you can but it would take some concentration and practice. Every night before you go to sleep, keep thinking about trying to have an OBE, but don't be too forceful. Just relax and calm yourself. There's also many websites and articles explaining how one can achieve this feeling. Best of luck!

An OBE is different for everyone. There are countless amounts of techniques but I have to say this, it takes practice, time, and patients. Don't expect to have one the first night or even the first week. I use binaural beats. I personally have never been able to induce an OBE while being awake. All the times ive had one I just woke up and I was in the stage of sleep paralysis. I couldn't move, my whole body was vibrating (the vibrations feel amazing) and I herd a loud high pitched sound in my ear. It kinda sounds like a binaural beat but it wasn't annoying it was a relaxing sound. Once those feelings pass you are free. A lot of people like prisonedalien think its a very real dream. Like I said it depends on the person. To me it was hazy yet very real and vivid. It didn't really feel like a dream at all.

i have experienced it before... I was about 15 and i was super suicidal over a girl that broke my heart and at 15, i felt like it was the end of the world. I was only born with one kidney so there for i was always told to not drink alcohol intil i was 21 and even then, take it light. Well i got black out drunk that night and i woke up in the hospital to find out i had a kidney transplant and i was standing next to my self laying in a bed at the hospital and my mother was sleeping on the couch in the hospital room and i was laying there sleeping. I remember waking up physically to see that this was all real and it wasn't a dream!! Its pretty crazy!!

Try it if you want but i dont reckon it. One your out of your physical body, you see things that you are most feared of!! Here a few links that prove they are real and how to do it!

I have one kidney also. So I was always told to not drink. I'm only 17 but I'm for sure not going to drink now. I don't want a kidney transplant :/ Glad your ok though.

Also I experienced an out of body experience. Also known as Astral Projection. Look it up! There are tons of tutorials out there explaining how to do it! It's like the second link you posted but it explains how you're able to move around when your astral projecting. Sadly I only was able to do it once and I wasn't able to do anything besides floating next to my body and moving my eyes a bit. But it was a wonderful experience! I need to start trying to do it again.

Oh apparently if your good enough. You can fly around visit people(of course they can't see you) but they when you wake up you can be like oh I know you did this(thought it would be creepy af). Though there are much more things you can do.

I remember when there was a big thread about Lucid dream like 2 years ago.
