I bought my 2014 Cobra GT500 for just under 70k. Also, I'm not looking to buy a 2015 Alpha Omega setup on the GTR. I was thinking maybe a 2012 Alpha 9, maybe 12. Nothing too crazy here..

The alpha 9 setup alone costs 25k, plus you need the car. You must have a lot of money to be doing deals like this

I already said my friend, I'm not necessarily worried about the money aspect of this investment. I'm just wondering what people think is the better car, and if they think the popularity of the GTR is worth sacrificing the speed, power, and rubber burning fun the GT500 brings to offer.

For the record to Z28, 09-10 GTR's aren't too expensive. Brand new 2015 GTR is however.

GTR hands down.
Im assuming you know about cars.

If it were up to me, i'd have a built DP C6Z06.
But, if i had to choose between the two cars you're talking, GTR.
They seem to be more responsive to mods.
Better gains for less than what you'll spend on the GT500 to get the same power if that makes sense.

When I bought the car I was trying to decide between the C6, GTR, GT500, or CTS-V. I thought that I would have to pour some money into the GTR to get it to where I wanted it and I wasn't really interested in that. I think the C^'s are nice , but my buddy sent his to speed and it was having tons of problems. GT500 it was. Ugh, I still need to think of a fair price. Just saying the GTR was maybe 15k more expensive than the GT500, and I put maybe 10k into the GT-500 and it smacks on GTR's. My license plate is 'LOL GTR.' Yea, that gets a lot of attention.

C6Z06's only major problem was them dropping a valve. Aftermarket heads or take car somewhere to get heads serviced and that problem was solved. Aside from that, no problems on the car. So your friend must've have a pos car lol.
Put 10k into the GT-R and then see how many GT500's you smack.

Dyno sheets to back the cars power?

That's what ya give us? Lets see the engine bay, dyno sheet, track slip, a car that powerful any owner would keep those close for bragging rights. I wanna see these plates that say "lol gtr" like you said. inbe4 parents car.

GT500 all the way, it's just sad that you don't have a GT500 but maybe on Forza you do.
