Nuking them would be insane on many levels. You kill innocents, you pulverize and radiate a potential (if it isn't already) oil field area, you get NATO/UN on our case, and quite possibly start WW3 because you know Russia and probably China (among others) will have a problem with that. Constant war with minimal strategy is not going to solve this problem. I don't know the answer to the problem, but bombs on innocent people is not the answer by any means. Maybe they are killing our people, but why do we treat them so much differently than any other innocent person? Makes no sense to me. Saudi Arabia beheaded 19 people recently. Did we bomb them yet? No, we are still allies with them. This situation is complicated, so it will most likely take a complex strategy to contain/fix the problem.

We give them everything for free, they can kill us and come back safely to their council house and I wonder how many welfare cheques they have piling up, when they get home they will be able to afford a nice holiday.

It happens a lot in wars with unknown terrorists/high profile characters.
For example, there was a member of the Iraqi insurgency, a sniper, known only as 'Juba' who had apparently killed over 37 American soldiers.
I don't really see what else we can do to identify them, other than give them nicknames.
If anything, he should feel like a coward because of it. If he wasn't, we would know his real name by now [and he'd probably be dead by now, but that's beside the point.]
