That would be crazy if they did. Weren't they also going to buy out Tesla? I could have sworn I heard about something like that. But, if they buy Beats I wonder if they'll change the logo to Apple on them, that would look pretty dope.

If they kept the Beats company name, I would imagine 3 things would happen
1. Keep the Beats logo
2. Change them to the Apple logo
3. Have the Beats logo on one side and the Apple on the other ( <-- that would be weird to look at for me )

All in all, I had Beats before, didn't like them, sold them and got a pair of M-audio Q40 and haven't looked back.

You believe that??

Shame

But anyways

Talking with a mate about this earlier and he reminded me what HTC did.
They used the amplifiers in their handsets.

Might just be that they are after

It's a really good business decision from Apple. According to the New York Times, Beats can cost as [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] , yet they sell for hundreds.

Apple doesn't care about the actual quality of the headphone brand, and like all companies, they ultimately care about money. Beats, like Apple products, are cheap to produce, but sell at a higher premium than most of the competing products. This is also why the company fits in perfectly to Apple's philosophy as a company; overpriced, "luxury" consumer electronics.
