I have a AMD r9 270.

It only have 1 slot for a 6 pin connector

Right in the BIOS there is a option to turn on board graphics off. sometimes this switches for some stupid reason so check that.

Also, a few people online have forgot to remove the rubber cap on the crossfire bridge. Is that removed? That can lead to the new GPU not working correctly.

i have removed that, Stupid question do i need to go to my computer properties Then select my old gpu and uninstall it then shutdown, after that put the new card in and it should work? i haven't uninstalled it and i was wondering (This is my first time doing it)

uninstall the old drivers. That is also a must as they can get a bit iffy

Try the uninstalling the nvidia drivers and then try the new card.
