Young couples are just that, too YOUNG to be having babies, and when they do it's wrong. It instantly ruins the girls life, guys life, and the babies life because at 15-18 there is no way they can support a child, when they themselves are still children.

The only way I can see it as a lesser offense is if they were to drop out of school, get jobs, and actually be prepared to take care of their child instead of pawning off responsibility onto their parents or grandparents.

I don't mind it too much.
People have the ability to make their own choices, and live with the consequences.
The age of consent is 16 in the UK for a reason, they set the bar above what they expect.
It's the only reason they're never going to lower it to 14, because then you would have 12 year old's doing it.

If something isn't directly affecting my life, I tend not to worry about it too much.

Exact same situation over here, and I'm from Canada.
I found out a girl I used to date, got pregnant not too long ago. It's weird thinking that I could have been the dad.

That's quite disrespectful and horrible. You find it "hilarious" when 2 people struggle to raise a child? So you find it "hilarious" that a child has a poor upbringing because of it's parents' mistakes?

I understand what you mean. Although, I don't think it instantly ruins their life. I don't think it's right for immature children to be having babies. However, I know a girl who is 17, she has recently had a baby(unexpected) and she's doing a great job of raising it. She's working as a hair-dresser and makes decent money. She is raising the child herself, with the help of it's father(who she is still with) and she isn't leaving it up to her parents.
Then again, I know another girl who is 16, she left school because she had a baby soon after she turned 16. She left the child in it's grandmothers care and the 16 year old mother does nothing basically.

I think it's fine if the parents are mature. When I say "Children having children", I mean immature people having children. It's not right for a child to have parents as immature as it is. It will hurt the baby in the long run and ruin its childhood/upbringing. As long as the parents wise up and mature before the baby is born and sort their life out, get a steady income and not constantly leave the baby in its grandparents care, then I think it's fine for them to have children.

Well hopefully they stay in school. They had to know that a child was a risk. Responsibility is key.
