Does anyone else think Eminem is completely overrated?
I've listened to ALL of Eminem's projects, and I just don't see all the hype.
Infinite was decent, MMLP1 and SSLP were great and I really enjoyed them. Even the Eminem Show was pretty good. But anything he has made after that is just mediocre. Encore was a big slap to the face. Relapse and Recovery were awful and MMLP2 was nothing special.
I just feel like he gets too much praise from people who don't actually listen to his music, people that just jump on the "Eminem is the greatest of all time" bandwagon.It really annoys me.
There are way better artists out there, including the Wutang Clan as individual artists, some obvious candidates like Biggie and Tupac,A Tribe Called Quest, and many more I'm not going to get into.

I agree with you man...
In my opinion. His old stuff was good because he was rising to fame etc...So he put in the effort.
Now he's one of the most known rappers...So he just puts music out to put music out.
Maybe he doesn't take it as serious?? Idk...But yeah. That's my opinion.

Eminem will always be Eminem. Nobody's music stays the same forever, so of course it's going to change.
Look at Nelly; he used to be HipHop only, now he has moved onto Pop and Country.

No, i don't think he is overrated he makes good music and came from nothing. People can't love him for over 10 years and be called overrated.

How can you say someone's music changed and that they're putting music out just to put it out, when the dude is dead? Tupac made music because he loved it. I've watched every single documentary on him and know his whole life story. Tupac was in the studio making songs and half of them weren't even released on an album, but for his own pleasure. Eminem is different in a sense where he has an opportunity to make music just because he can.
I really don't see how you can compare him to Eminem in this topic, other than he is very popular and people go straight to him when there are many other artists with similar caliber than him.
I'm not bashing, just voicing my opinion. Sorry if I seemed a bit harsh.

I think you can say he is overrated.
But, he is amazing at what he does.
I don't care what people think of him, I will always remain a fan.

Yeah I completely agree with you I like him but he is overrated. I prefer old school rappers like Biggie and Tupac, Eazy-E etc

Would you rather listen to someone who writes their music like Eminem, or someone who doesn't write their music and says stuff that doesn't matter since, like Lil Wayne?
