I mean, people put the name at the bottom of a written letter, what's the difference.

It honestly doesn't make me want to cry, But I can see how it would annoy some people who are easily annoyed.

The difference is that the posters name is already at the top of their post.
Unlike a letter, where the person wouldn't know who it's from otherwise.
It's quite self explanatory

People do it to bypass the 20 character filter, which really isn't that hard to type a 20 character message. It is pretty annoying.

I agree with you, it's so stupid - people who change fonts, leave a signature and other stuff. I don't know why it annoys me, it just does.

There are other means to fill the 20 character minimum... Grammar adds a lot to my posts as well as spelling every word out.

Yeah. I agree. But I think it's against the rules. Like because it's a gold extra to have a signature, and putting your name is like a sig... So I think you can report it, but I'm not sure for what.
