Yui- wrote Does anyone know any good animes based around a group of people entering some kind of tournament?

Animes I've already watched that are like this are:

Kuroko No Basket
Saki

The show is based around baseball and goes for 6 26 episode seasons (156 episodes all up) along with 3 OVA's. Each covering an array of different tournaments and tryouts. I have watched the first 4 seasons over the past 5 days and am loving it at this point. Each season has gotten 9/10 in my books

I think that is the first series I've ever seen with 2+ seasons with each season being rated just as high or higher than the first. Never been very interested in the sport genre but I might just give it a try anyways.

I suggest that you do. I was honestly very reluctant coming into the series (i had been pondering on it for little over 6 months) and was pleasantly surprised when i started watching it. Now i'm completely hooked

Keep in mind that i entered the show with little to no knowledge of Baseball itself outside of the childhood game of Wii sports that is so that isn't really required to enjoy the show

Finally started watching Mekakucity Actors which out of all the shows currently airing, (that I'm actually watching), is definitely my favorite. I just recently found out how much I enjoy the art style from the studio Shaft who also worked on the Monogatari series and the Puella Magi Madoka Magica series, (only two I've watched so far), it's just interesting. Only 4 of 12 episodes have aired so far but I'd recommend it whether you want to start watching now or wait until the end of June when all episodes have aired.
