Evigishki wrote @ Tomoyo - I remember when I used VLC a long time ago, swapped it out for MPC-HC right away and haven't looked back since. If I can find the tutorial I'll link you it, to add even better filters and such to MPC to make it really really nice

I swear you and Katsumi like see into the future.. MPC is the new player I found! It works really well, and I uninstalled VLC. First Katsumi knew what I was using, than you knew what I switched too lol nice job guys.

Haha I mean, it's pretty much either one or the other in the anime community so not much left to guess with. Easily the most popular two

So still being an amateur anime watcher, I've come to the conclusion that I'll watch 3 anime's that are currently airing, but they have to have just recently started. Meanwhile I will marathon completed anime's one at a time.

3 Airing anime's:
One Week Friends
Black Bullet
The Irregular at Magic Highschool

Marathoning currently:
Kanon (2006)

Some notes:
My favorite airing right now has to be The Irregular at Magic Highschool. This is the first anime I've ever seen where some near incest is happening (Unless you count Baka and Test), But the storyline is really nice so far. The action is a different approach, and I really like it. Once again I'm an amateur, so I've never really watched any action anime's anyway, at least not dedicated to this extent.

One Week Friends is a great idea for an anime, meaning the creators can create a masterpiece if done right. However I find myself unable to connect to the main characters as much as I'd like to. Fujimiya is a really lovable character, but sometimes I feel like she's absent from the anime when she's right there. And Hase doesn't seem to show as much emotion as he should, it's like he rushes his emotions and it looks kind of awkward, but I think it may just be because we're only 3 episodes in.

Black Bullet is awesome. That's it. Lol but seriously the Loli girl is so comedic in the first episode, but she can kick some serious ass if she needs to. There are 3 episodes out but I've only seen the first one, I'll get back to you on this when I finish the other 2 out right now.

Hopefully the more anime's I watch the more experienced I'll be. Maybe I'll be able to watch more than 3 airing anime's at a time someday. I want to be one of those guys with the nice looking MAL one day lol. I plan on it.

I wouldn't necessarily say the ability to watch a lot of currently airing shows makes you "experienced", it's just meaning that you took the commitment to keep up with all of them.

And never worry about MAL being filled out, it's just a program to keep track, not a psuedo-entrance exam to the anime community. Don't think of anime as numbers, saying "oh I'll just watch this and get my count up". Anime is brilliant simply because it's, well, better than western television in every way, we watch it simply because we enjoy it.

Also, if anything watching a lot of anime (it's plural is still anime by the way, like fish) dulls down your senses, not making you a "sharper" experienced watcher. When you've watched a significant amount of anime you'll be like "ah this show is a ripoff of this and this" and "this plot has been done a thousand times". Don't get me wrong, I'm happy I've watched a lot but it isn't really something that defines a " better" anime fan. The "better" fans are the ones sending letters of thanks and buying a lot of merch and things of that nature

I understand, however when you said the fact of being able to tell which shows are worth watching after watching a significant amount of anime is what I meant. I didn't mean that watching more anime makes you a "better" anime watcher, I should've went more in depth with that. as far as my MAL being filled out, I didn't mean that numbers wise. I watch what anime I want don't get me wrong, but to see my list making more progress would go along with me being more "Experienced" in knowing which anime's are worth watching and which ones are worth dropping. Do you get what I mean? I'm not trying to retaliate in any way, I just don't think I explained my post well enough for you to fully understand it, I left some stuff out.

Oh and about watching multiple airing anime at once, that was only so I don't have to marathon every anime at once. There is way too many anime out there right now to try and marathon everything, if I keep up with newer ones every week, I'll be able to marathon the completed ones at an easier pace.

I'm a noob because I'm just now catching up on Fairy Tail, I'm on episode 100 actually. (Episode where Natsu and the others are testing to become the next S class wizard.)

@Nasa: I've watched more shows than you three combined. God you're a noob man.

Currently I haven't watched any anime in the past few months which is a shame but at least by the time I get back to it most of my plan-to will have finished airing. Looking forward to what Summer has in store.

As for knowing which anime to watch and which to avoid, I think it is more fun to just go and watch everything, sure you will come across some shows that just make you want to claw your eyes out and put your head in an oven, but it is still an experience. If I decide I am going to watch a show, then I make sure I do, I don't drop it half way through (Really wanted to after day two of the Shugo Chara series). You also come across those few diamonds in the rough that you end up really enjoying.
