1989 wrote So I am looking for something i could use for everyday use like work, surfing the web, watching stuff, downloading etc... and was just wondering what would be best to just get an iMac or build my own pc.

Definitely build you own pc, i went and bought an imac first and loved it, then i wanted a windows so i built my own pc. and for the same price my pc runs so much faster/ smoother. i have a great graphics card and its beautiful

imacs are WAY over priced!!!!!

Build pc> buy imac

Well in my opinion i would recommend building your own PC instead of spending loads of money on something because of the way it looks. You could build an amazing PC for the money you would spend on an iMAC and you probably don't even need to spend that much money on a PC in your case anyway so you could save yourself alot of money and of course enjoy that first boot once its successfully built.

Build your own, Apple products are overpriced for what they are. I have had Macbooks before someone kicks off and they are not worth the money.

I read an article about the iPhone 4 being made for like £17 and then marketed at £600. Apple take the piss, build your own. You will not regret.

I will be using it for the same reasons and also I love the design of the mac and just how it is thats why I am soo tempted and I think I will be going for it. Should be able to get it next month or the month after. Even though I always wanted to build my own PC, I am just too tempted to get a Mac.
