When I was around 13, I remember being allowed to play after I finished my homework. My parents then noticed that my brothers and I were rushing through our homework and not doing it thoroughly so we could be able to play. This caused them to make a rule of video games only allowed on Fridays and weekends. As for games, they didn't like me playing CoD and all those games, but since I was exposed to them from my brothers, they let me play them. Hope this helps!

Im 15 and both my parents are gammers so I would say NO they do not mind me playing what so ever. If my homework is done then I am free to game on.

I remember back in the day when it was on a school night my parent's would tell me to go to bed but they really didn't push that rule to much. I think they knew that I was held responsible to whatever happens at school and to my grades and to not let them get to bad due to video games. Other than that, I don't think they were strict at all with them.

My parents did let me play until 10 pm after I was done my homework and as long as I did not miss school or miss my bus. They did not care about me playing alot or anything

When I was young I played conker a bad fur day on xbox and n64, and my first real xbox game was cod 1 finest hour. My parents were mostly buying these games for my older brothers but I got to play some of those games.

My dad is VERY strict about video games and I'm not allowed to play for even more than 2 hours a day. Even during the summer.

Well I am 13 years old right now. I guess you can say my mom doesn't care how long I play. I just need to do good in school and not get in trouble. That's all, and I can play any game I want and play for how long I want. & but I do have some of my friends that have strict parents like that . . I guess on school nights I have to be off either at 9:00PM - 10:00PM.

While i still live with my parents i am not really 'moderated' by them so much these days. I was chatting with my dad a few months ago about his parenting methods from when i was younger, in terms of video games he simply said, "Me and your mother decided to let you play as many video games as you wanted and put off homework due to it, knowing that you will get bored of it when push comes to shove"... and it actually worked.
