Ok to much is to much
I was talking to my friend at work about what energy drink I think is better, (rockstar) anyway long story short this older woman butted herself into the convo and said stuff about how they are both bad for you, which is fine for her to say because well I admit they are bad. But she then continued to say how alot of teens now a days are irresponsible with there bodies and she is disgusted with humanity and these earlier generations and that all these kids (like me and my friend) are going to die young and we are irresponsible in life.
First off I am NOT irresponsible, I take care of my body I take care of my life, I don't do dumb things. Im a gamer so most of the day I stay inside and chill out with my friends and play games and go outside and skate etc. I don't do dumb things and she doesn't know me and for her to call me irresponsible really pissed me off.
Another time, this women came through my line at work, (I work as a cashier at a grocery store) and she was complaining about how the price of the dollar isnt the same anymore, which is true. But she was complaining to me, and then mid convo she said "why am I even talking to you, you're to young to understand the value of a dollar" and that really made me angry. She doesn't know what kind of education I have. I took honors business class for 3 years in highshool, I took one financing class, and I took and accounting algebra 2 honors math course... Now not that the courses matter but I think I know a thing or two about the value of money... It just really annoyed me how these older people think that young people don't know anything about anything...
Im done, its just aggravating. Im not sure if this happens to anyone but it happens to me alot.

I totally agree, it pisses me off so badly that some people are so rude and why did she say "why am i even talking to you" when she is the one who butted in the convo?

I'd never imagine someone with the credentials you have to enjoy 1017 Brick Squad, usually people who are in honors classes tend not to listen to rap, but I respect that.
Anyway, on to the rant: I understand where you're coming from, some older people tend to assume anyone under 20 is irresponsible and wouldn't know their head from their ass. It's sad really, it's not a "don't know when to stop" issue, it's more of a "I think I know more than you because I'm older" issue, which really bothers me. I can't stand ageist people, they negatively stereotype another group of people simply because of how old they are. (what does that remind you of? *cough* racism *cough*) Of course, not a lot of people do it, but those select few who think they are superior simply because they've been on the earth longer than me or you, really put a bad taste in my mouth.

Does she not know drinking a cup of tea is bad for you? It's the same as drinking an Energy drink. Her whole conversation was pointless. Older generations are even worse. Smoking themselves to death. Why does she not care about them or even complain about them? Because she is one.

Age is just a number, someone younger could still be more intelligent than someone older and you could come across people who haven't been in education and then someone younger than them might of so it's obvious their who is going to know more.

Finally someone makes a rant about this, this is one of my biggest pet peeves, or when they say "I know more I went to college." Yes, I understand college teaches you a lot but in some situations it isn't applicable. People like this need to be slapped.

Generally speaking, the elders known more.
Don't always take what they say so close to the heart, but listen to their wisdom.
The older generations is who teach us, and without them, we would be as dumb as you claim them to be by this rant.
