I believe you have taken this whole rant out of context; old people know alot about life but this is not what the rant is about. The rant is about elders/older people saying they're smarter than you just because of their old age which is not true 99% of the time. We live in an era where information is at your fingertips; where kids have access to information that are years ahead of their knowledge. We have teachers that are becoming progressively younger in all career's thanks to our technologically advanced society. Edit: This information was not as readily available to them when they were young.

The older you get, the more you realize that you don't know anything, and as much as we don't wanna admit it, but they are usually right. Sure we have all this information at our finger tips, but it's still Yolo swag idiots just about everywhere. We have an entire generation of idiots raised on the internet, with no practical skills or experience. Example any COD lobby on xbox. Would you wanna hire one of those kids?

It seems the older they get, the less they care about social norms, example she should be old enough to know to not butt into someone else's conversation uninvited. Sure energy drinks might kill her, but when you're young and dumb you can get away with it, but you can't ignore the news stories you read about kids dying and or having heart attacks due to the energy drinks....

There is no substitution for life experience, no college class, no internet articles, etc...
