Check out a few different companies, I saw Samsung selling a good one for gaming (i7 etc) but mine is a Dell Inspiron 17R SE, and it's a 17 inch one and pretty good for gaming, rated 49 overall for laptop processors or something, anyways there is also a few samsungs with a light up keyboard

--Eminem-- wrote One thing too keep in mind while looking at other laptops is the graphics card. The other laptops can match the specs for a much lower price, but most old them have low-end, non-upgradable integrated graphics cards.

my HP Envy m6 has a intergrated card and i can run literally every game.

Main difference is the alienware is twice the weight, but has a bigger screen and pretty lights.

Edit: Oh, and a $750 price difference.

The fact that there's only one fan in the MSI though for the GPU is a problem though. My cousin has one and games start to randomly lag at some points because the CPU is heating up.

If he wants it, let him have it. Gaming ''laptops'' in general are pure garbage all around so it turns to picking crap from all the other crap so recommended ''X'' over ''Z'' is meaningless because you're getting shafted regardless.

HUGE power brick, TERRIBLE battery life, they got super hot, they get super loud ( small fans, high RPM ), glossy panels on most of them, TN panels, heavy, thick, you need an external mouse if you want to game, spending $1500 that matches the performance of a $650 DIY PC.

The only point of a laptop is portability and convenience. Buying a gaming laptop automatically erases the only two advantages. The only half decent solution that is not all crap is Razers new Blade but the price is hard to justify.

I'd bet money on that hauling a Prodigy and accessories is less of a pain in the a$$.
