It's not expanding.
They are just finding more areas.

I think space is forever expanding. But, there has to be n end somewhere. In my opinion.

Basically, in Physics you learn about the big bang theory (The universe started from a HUGE explosion.) This theory states that at the universe is expanding it's cooling down. This is proven through CMB, (Cosmic background microwave radiation) which can be seen all over the universe. Basically to quickly sum this up, as the universe is expanding it is moving through the electromagnetic spectrum. E.g. Gamma,X-rays,Ultraviolet,VisableLight,Infrared, Microwave (Which is what time is at ATM) and lastly Radio. In theory radio waves can go as long as they want, but there is always limits to everything. This is also where the theory that when it reaches the edge of radio waves the universe will stop expanding and completely collapse on it's self (DESTROYING EVERYTHING.) Sum pretty crazy s*** to think about, but it's just a theory and there is MANY ethical issues related to this topic. However I completely agree with the Big Bang theory as it seems only logical to ME! This also goes into ALOT more detail. PHYSICS FTW

The Big Bang wasn't really an explosion... more like rapid expansion.
It depends how you define an explosion really.

There's also a theory that once it collapses in on itself it will enter a start similar to the big bang and the universe will start from the beginning again. So that would mean the universe is just in an endless cycle and that time itself is cyclical. Actually it was once calculated and in I think was in 10^10^10^10^2.08 years you will be sitting here reading this again. (and that's a crazy big number, I put it in a calculator once and it just said it was infinite lol)
