Having some issues with what I believe to be my power supply..

This is my build
Sony ODD: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Fractal Design Define R4: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Samsung Snipoint F3 1TB: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Sapphire 7950 3GB + 3 games: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

SeaSonic X Series 650W Gold Modular PSU: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Corsair Vengeance Jet Black: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Asrock Z77 Extreme4: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Intel i5 3570k + Cooler Master CPU Cooler: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Minus the cpu cooler.

While playing LoL my computer randomly shut off.
Upon trying to re power it up, it didn't start.
Next I tried trouble shooting it by unplugging certain components from the power supply to see which was causing the problem.

My computer works, only when my graphics card isn't plugged in.

My question is, is the problem in my graphics card or psu? The fans on my graphics card still work when just taking power from the motherboard.

Thanks in advance.

If everything else is functioning properly, you've narrowed it down to your graphics card. Get a hold of Sapphire and start the RMA process so you can get up and running again. It's extremely unlikely that your PSU is at fault. Have you tried the graphics card in another PCI-E slot?

Depends on the cpu it's being used with.

Memory bandwidth and Hyperthreading will both have a negligible effect in games with 1155 CPUs using discrete graphics. Stick with 1600 cas 9 1.5v memory and whatever i5 is appropriate for your system.

I'm only thinking about getting it because 20$ off

And will it work with any parts?

That's the best deal on a 1TB SATA drive and the F3 is excellent. If you have a desktop PC that has SATA connectors, you can use it.

I can't view a wishlist when you link it like that. You'll have to link the parts, screenshot the cart, or save it as a public wishlist.
