Beacon wrote I am on it now should I restore to 5.1.1 or can I just update to iOS 6 when it's released?

And can I download a copy of iOS 5.1.1 to restore to after 6 has been released?

You are on the 6.0 GM edition now, correct? If you go to iTunes and you click on restore, you can technically still restore to 5.1.1 BECAUSE IOS 6, really isint out yet, TO THE PUBLIC. So if you hurry before it gets released today at some point. You may restore it now while you can to 5.1.1, then when IOS 6 comes to the public today, you can just update it normally.

Lol good luck with that one.

Well, BFX I just did it. Because I want to stay on IOS 5.1.1 until there is an Jailbreak with Cydia on IOS 6.0. I will make a video of me using the IOs 6.0 GM edition and me downgrading to IOS 5.1.1 if you want me to, for proof.

I am not disputing what you may or may not have done, as far as i am aware you cannot downgrade without saving your SHSH blobs prior to upgrading.

Try it for yourself. Its because the IOS 6 is not released to public yet correct? SOO if someone else who has 5.1.1 has a problem and would have to restore, if they clicked restore it would restore them too IOS 5.1.1 correct? that is because IOS 6 isint out yet. So if he does this on IOs 6, it will simply restore his device to IOS 5.1.1 from IOS 6.0, if he simply clicks restore on iTunes.

Hey if it works it works, it wasn't that simple for me last year though, you are right though it's not been released yet so in theory that would work but that's not always the case. anyway i'm not here to argue so let's just agree to disagree lol
