Honestly, I'm in favor of the galaxy nexus simply from a developer point of view. The galaxy nexus can be unlocked in about 5 minutes and the root method for all nexus devices cannot be fixed unless the stop allowing you to unlock the bootloader. Also, the galaxy nexus variants (maguro and toro)arr both supported by Google's Open Source Project. In my opinion, the Galaxy S III is a better phone if you simply want the best and don't do much of rooting and;installing roms.

That's exactly what I think the Nexus has over other phones. It's a Google phone. Although, I'm excited to see what the developers come up with for the S III. It's also a no-brainer for me because of the higher-quality digital-analog converter (makes it sound super great) Samsung used.
