I decided to play my xbox 360 yesterday and was met with two RROD (player 1 and player 3). I took my power block apart and cleaned it, I also took my xbox apart and cleaned it of dust. This still didn't work, so I remember if you hold the sync button and hit the eject it will give you a code. I did this and was met with 3 lights flashing (1,2,3) then (1,2,3) then (1,2,3) and lastly just (1).

So the code should be 3331 but I can't find any more information about what to do. Does anybody have any advice? The only reason I want to fix it is because my dvd drive is flashed so i can play burnt games. Any help would be appreciated.

3331 doesn't sound right, ensure your console is up right and make sure you're reading the decatur error code correctly. possibly a video of it

@Rodent_ Modz like I said, when I power on the Xbox 360 It ONLY has TWO red rings. It's not until I hold the sync/eject that it displays THREE red rings.

2 rings is over heating

but you need to know which error you have

press the sync and cycle with eject button slowly

count 1, 2 , 3, 4, presses with the eject button

and then count how many leds you have each time you press them
4=0
1=1
2=2
3=3
