So I have just started a clothing line, whilst being at college and having a new found love for PC gaming and thus I have decided it is time for an upgraded PC!
The PC will be used mainly for gaming however I will need to do some video editing and graphics design (photoshop/AI) on it!
I'm going to be buying the parts overtime and so my max budget is £1K
I currently have 8GB Ram that I can keep if that helps aha.
I really love the look of watercooling but don't think that will fit my budget!
Anyhow, Please leave me some ideas of the parts I should pick as I'm quite new to it all!
Many thanks to all the replies!!

Dont bother. Buying parts over time is a really bad idea. Wait until you have all the money for the system and buy everything within a week.

I would just but the whole shabang out right. My bro just bought a $1800 alien ware from dell. So much easier than buying part by part.

If you buy parts one by one, it could take ages to get a working system. You'll end up paying more than you should. You could also buy a faulty component and not realise for months because you don't have the rest of the system. Some parts might be out dated by the time you build. There's loads of reasons not to buy bit by bit.
If you can't save £1000, try just saving for a month or two and then buy a system with the money you've saved, even if it's only £600.

Ah okay that is very helpful to know, I'll be sure to save!
Do you think an i7 + a GTX 1070 is a good combo?
I'm quite new to this all (can't remmeber the exact model of each)

A GTX 1070 is a good GPU for 1080p Gaming. As for a i7 CPU, there is so many different types of intel i7 CPU's that you cant really ask if thats a good combo. Message me and i can help you get your first build put together.
