Okay so many of the graphics community have been scammed in the past or in general day to day life after designing someone something and not receiving payment, so this got me thinking what if i created a website that allowed designers to upload work people have paid for (NOT SPECIFIC TO THIS SITE).

So the way this would work is Once the design has been completed all you need to do is upload the image to the site and you either choose an option that allowed the user to get the Design free or the option to receive payment via the website before they can download the image

IE: when the person purchasing clicks on the image to download they are required to send the money they spoke about when they where discussing a price. So basically you wouldn't get ripped of.

The image would stay their until it's been purchased or I have closed it, i would need to verify that the image which they discussed was real and it stays locked till the purchase has been made.

Please let me know your thoughts

Kinda been done to be honest my friend.

Whilst you are aiming directly at GFX designers you are lowering your audience compared to a site like Fiverr that has many many things, but I'd like to think logo and other GFX design is the most popular bit and is very competitive. But Fiverr does what you want it to do. Makes the buyer pay before you begin work, you show them a preview of it with a shit ton of watermarks, they like it, you send them the file, your money is released to you, and you all walk away happy and scam free. Considering it is held by Fiverr meaning they cannot chargeback you and would instead chargeback Fiverr which would probably not end up working out anyways..

This has already been done throughout several different website platforms (or something very similar), deviantART, Fiverr, etc. Designers could just as easily watermark their image(s), and provide disproportionate screenshots to show progress rather than sending the client their requested work.

Yeah true, i have not really looked in too it, mainly a question i am asked a lot by beginner designers, "How do i protect my work" my response is always "watermark...

Thank you both for enlightening me:)
