I saw this story earlier and am interested to hear everyone's take on this.

Both Chelsea and Morata himself have come out and condemned Chelsea fans for singing the following:

Morata, he comes from Real Madrid, and hates the f*cking yids.

Now obviously Tottenham fans take pride in calling themselves 'the yids', and I believe the term 'yid' has taken on almost an ulterior meaning as someone who is a Tottenham fan, not just someone who is Jewish.

For example, I don't believe Chelsea fans meant that Morata hates all Jewish people, I personally interpreted it as a solely anti-Tottenham chant, which given their rivalry seems fair enough.

Yes Morata condemned it, but understandably he doesn't know much of the rivalry between the clubs, nor of the culture of English football fans.

Anyway, what's your opinion on this?
