I just game back to gta 5 after like 8 months or so of not playing and I have no idea what all this new stuff is sao I just wanted to ask what the best way to make money is and how much should I have to start making money. Thanks.

Currently the best ways to earn money are from the new businesses you can set up, there are multiple options to chose from such as the following.
Bikers gang
CEO
Gunrunner
Those in order get increasingly expensive to afford, if you need money to start one up I recommend racing.
