Hype through the roof right now, can't believe this movie comes out in just over half a year.

Also Run The Jewels was a perfect choice for the music in the trailer.

Eh, Black Panther is boring in my opinion. He's boring in the same way that Superman is boring.
His power-set is far too standard now, it's not interesting enough. Super speed, super strength, tiny claws.
It's just a big Meh-fest when you compare it to other characters like Spiderman, The Flash, Iron Man, Ant-Man, etc.

Black Panther is basically Captain America, without a shield, and with bullet proof body armor.
Or he's basically Iron Man with no missiles and no flight capabilities.

I'll probably see this and I understand why they had to make it, but man is he a boring character.

Just from seeing Civil War, you're going to say that he's a "boring character"?

Characters like The Flash are way more interesting and have more potential (imo) but then you're going into DC. Not sure how you can say Spider-Man is more interesting. If anything, Black Panther is more interesting to me atleast because Spider-Man has been overused in 21st century, his origin story is the same in every movie (might not be in Homecoming, probably though) unless they actually had insane Spider-Man villains like Venom, Carnage, Anti-Venom, or even a Spider-Man ally like Miles Morales. Just insanely boring to me unless they don't add those characters but hey, that's my opinion.

I think it's awesome to see a guy jumping around like a god in vibranium while having a pretty good origin story (unless you're not into it).

When I brought up Spider-man I was really only talking about powers, rather than the character.

I think it's awesome to see a guy flying around like a God in an Iron suit while having a great origin story.

Black Panther is just a downgrade of what we have already seen.

And yes, every time he was speaking in Civil War I was just waiting for the next scene.
Why is his own solo movie going to be much different when it's the character's style which is boring. His deadpan monologues and rigid mannerisms?
He just doesn't fit with the other characters in the universe.

He's not fun, he's too serious and he belongs more in DC. If he was doing all this alongside Batman I would completely understand it, but he's not.

I think the biggest tell that he is not going to fit with the rest of these characters is the villain they seem to have cast in this.
Andy Serkis is going to be the only comedy relief in this movie because Black Panther is not funny.

He had one funny line I can think of in Civil War, whereas Ant Man crammed about 10 into less than half the screen time.

Think it looks great but wasn't a fan of the music choice in the trailer though

While this movie is no where near my most anticipated comic book movie of next year, it looks...good, or well typical for a Disney/Marvel film.

Honestly, I feel like this just just another film in the MCU's line up that isnt needed. Just like Doctor Strange, in my opinion, while others may disagree, that movie was extremely boring and not needed.

But, the good news is Marvel will shove 8 more trailers and 20 tv spots in our face. That way if you don't feel like paying to go see it, you can just watch all those and get the same satisfaction of atleast seeing half the movie.

The cast in this movie is looking pretty good. I always look forward to the Marvel movies, filled with action and comedy.

Always look forward to the next Marvel movie, and Black Panther is no exception. Hopefully gives us a better look into his origin story within the movie after his brief appearance in Civil-War.
