I'm looking to get a new phone, but have to settle for a pre-paid one for the moment due to money. I want to know what the best option for a pre-paid phone from Verizon Wireless would be?

Don't really have a budget, but I just want some options, Thanks!

Personally I use the S8 (review purposes) as of now but the Turbo Two / Moto Z and both are great phones, the moto Z is amazing for modular like design with add-ons and other stuff. The Turbo Two is amazing in battery life and charge speed, the screen could use work, it is amoled so hard to see in natural light without brightness up but it lives to it's claim with the unshatterable screen, but i have noticed the charge port tends to die after a years good use, and recently (two weeks) had verizon overnight me my replacement.

Other options? Choose the latest Samsung model from verizon either the S8 or the S7 both are good, but the S8 isn't fully ready IMO kinda buggy. You could also opt for a LG model any of their new top end looking models are fine.

I would recommend the Turbo Two out of the bunch here mainly because it has been fairly good for me, over the last yearish.

This is a dumb question, but are those phones 2 year contract only or are they able to be pre-paid?

I am on a two year contract with the turbo two, and as for the other two i am as well. You should be able to check or ask verizon for a specific deal.
