Case is terrible. We don't know the PSU brand, we don't know the SSD/HDD brand. We don't know the RAM type i.e ddr4 2400. ETC

Not terrible, it's a budget case but it's not terrible. I'm sure it costs like $50 and IMO, just spend the extra $15-20 for a better case, but to be fair, for the price, the 100R isn't a terrible choice, IF case budget is really limited to $50 and there's just no movement in the budget. That being said, I wouldn't recommend it in most situations.

It isn't a bad case yes, but for the price he would be better off getting something from fractal/nzxt ..

The carbide series will never be on my cases to recommend. Mainly because it is a tight case to work with for management if it was a little more spaced behind the MB tray i'd gladly recommend it but the case is still tight that pushed out metal doesn't help with management. A sleeved PSU is a pain to get around with any of the carbide cases going up to the 300r where they finally figured out that they had the room to fit fully sleeved cables in.

Like i said a fractal/nzxt case would be better IMO as you said the extra $150-20 would be fine, especially in the nzxt lineup with the s340 white/black coming up as the next decent case choice.

Locked processor with an OC board, if your gonna OC you gotta have an 6600k or 7600k. If not then go for a b250 board for kaby lake
