Gameplay

Tip-off Basketball is a fun arcade game found on Itunes and the Play Store where you take some shots on a basketball net. You will be given a time limit and unlimited balls to see how many shots you can get in one go. You'll hopefully be starting out on campaign that will require you to complete a bunch of stages with all different challenges in them such as Get 1 basket or Get a swish. Challenges start out easy of course but the more you complete you'll start to notice harder and harder challenges. Each stage you complete or challenge you will be rewarded with gold that you can spend on new looking balls which some actually have a cool look to them. The game will help you out and put an outline of where your ball is going to land so don't worry of you missing that much. There is also different levels you can play on for example a dark and scare city or somewhere in china. There is multiplayer in this game where you'll go against a random player around the world seeing who can get the most score before the time limit. You're given around 1:00 - 1:30 minutes to see who can get the most score. There are power-ups called Combos where your screen lights up with bright colors and a target you'll press where it will give you a free shot with a lot of score. You'll only get the combo if you go on an excellent streak or do combos of certain shots for example a swish. Just remember it's not 1 point per basket, Each basket can multiply and the better you do the higher you'll go. Sometimes I've made it into the 100,000s but it was a rare moment.

Graphics

I mean there's not much you'll be looking at this game since you'll need good concentration on the basketball and the net. Everything in this game seems like it's a painting in a way, I wouldn't even classify the buildings in the background to the net 2D in any way. The only thing that actually looks good are the balls you're shooting of course. There are a lot of basketball skins you're allowed to use with everyone have a unique look to them where some I actually enjoyed using. The different types of stages you'll come across all have different types of environments and looks to them but I really only enjoyed 1-2 of the stages I actually had a chance to play on. A feature I really enjoyed about this game was the combo, your screen will light up with random colors only showing the net and your balls. It truly makes the game look a little better and more exciting than what it was before. But it will only last for a while until it will go away. Just overall I really hope later in the future they'll make a sequel to this game making everything look 3D because I loved the layout and gameplay of the game.

Controls

Controls may seem a little difficult but the game really helps you out a lot with shooting the baskets. You will start with a simple tutorial at the start of the game showing you everything you need to know for what's to come and the basics. All you'll have to do is hold down the screen and try your best lining up the ticked line with the basketball net. May seem really difficult but you'll get use to it after a few stages. I'm still missing a lot of baskets but I'm just terrible at video games. If you're actually having troubles or anything I recommend playing the first stage which is the easiest and just getting use to the control of the basketball.
