Looking to start a new PC. My old one is a bit older and doesn't handle games and streaming very well. My last topic received only one reply, but I've decided to make my old PC into a makeshift Server Block.

I'm pushing my budget at about 2,500 USD. I'd prefer to keep it at that, but can stretch a little more if need be.

What's its for:
Gaming
Streaming
Photoshop
Rendering/Video Editing

I'm going to be making a custom PC Desk that fits the computer inside of it. So no need for a Case. I've already got the GPU and Hard drives listed above so I'll upgrade those later down the line.

.. No need for a case? If you say so.

I updated the list you included with a better CPU, PSU, cooler, motherboard, and RAM.

Looks good to me, and seems cheaper than what I had planned. I've still got headway, budget wise, anything you would upgrade that I haven't bought yet/that's on the list.

As for my case: I'm building mine. It'll be one of those Desks with the glass on top where the computer is inside of it. So I'm cutting up one of my old ones for grounding the mobo, holding the drives and such too.

That leaves a fair budget for monitors, mics, keyboards, etc.

Though my friend was telling me I might as well go with the 6700K. Looking it up..The 6700K is better for gaming over the 5820K, but the 5820K is better for rendering and such.

As I don't plan on doing anything aside from entry level kind of work for the next year or so, would it make sense to keep the 5820K or go to the 6700K?
