Please note that some/all of this is not confirmed and full credit goes to the original place where the info is sourced. This topic will be updated often once new reveals are made

M E G A T O P I C

Name: Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare
Developer: Infinity Ward
Release: November 4th 2016
Editions: Standard, Legacy
Price: $80 - $110 (Approx)
Bonuses: Remastered Modern Warfare
Setting: Space, Other Planets?
Timezone: Very Far Future
Consoles: PS4, Xbox One, PC

Wait, what are we on about here?
Infinite Warfare (developed by Infinity Ward) is speculated to be set in space far into the future and one edition (Legacy Edition) will eligibly come with a remastered version of Modern Warfare. If this Legacy Edition is accurate, it possibly will include DLC for the game.

What's this about Modern Warfare?
Numerous sources have suggested that some version of Infinite Warfare will come with a copy of Modern Warfare remastered for next gen. The Legacy Edition will apparently come with the campaign and multiplayer modes of Modern Warfare along with 10 maps.

When will the game release?
According to a leaked image, the game will release on November 4th, a Friday, which makes sense since early November is the usual release month and Friday now (instead of Tuesday) to allow players to play over the weekend.

What different modes will there be?
It can be expected that Infinite Warfare will have three core modes; campaign, multiplayer and a third special mode which could end up being a variant or continuation of Extinction since it would fit the setting, however there could be more, just like Black Ops 3.

Infinity Ward said 'Something New'?
Infinity Ward stated at an earlier date that the next Call of Duty would be something new and innovative which suggests that 'on the ground' combat won't be returning since that isn't new and now, neither is boost jumping. Maybe this suggests gravity-less combat?

Which consoles will it be available on?
Someday, one developer will have to ditch last gen and it may be Infinity Ward that does so with Infinite Warfare. If this game happens to release on Xbox 360 and PS3 then it's well likely another developer will be focusing on that just like Black Ops 3.

What will the DLC be presented as?
Chances are is that this game will feature DLC (coming to PlayStation users first) and it's likely that they'll be four packs however Infinity Ward have done differently before with one pack, two packs, monthly content and then seasonal content in their games since Modern Warfare.

Although nothing is confirmed, we can speculate that the campaign mode is often more adventurous than multiplayer involving more weapons, ways to travel and various other things that simply wouldn't work against other people. On average, Infinity Ward's installments of Call of Duty bring around 16-18 missions so to assume, that could be expected.

Multiplayer is often the mode that most people are interested in and given the setting it looks like we're getting, it's quite likely this game will be far from 'classic' Call of Duty. Space combat can create opportunities for gravity-less combat (everyone floating about everywhere) but it'll be interesting to see how everything pans out.

Every game since Modern Warfare has had a third mode in some shape or form whether it be arcade mode, zombies, survival or aliens so it's likely that Infinite Warfare will feature its own third mode but it does seem likely that Extinction could be used again (whether updated or continued) but with more variation and creativity using space.

Awesome topic - very informative!

I really hope that it is not set in space, however, I'll wait and see what the game has to offer.

Updated the topic with new information and a teaser (video by Drift0r) showing a spaceship in Nuk3town on Black Ops 3.

Please comment your thoughts on Infinite Warfare on any ideas how I can improve the topic!

I wonder if they are ever gonna stop adding an updated Nuketown to every game.

I like the map, but I figured they would have came up with another map to add in the next few games already.

It's usually only a part of Treyarch's games.

I would imagine if they changed the setting then they would not include it any more. Each of their titles have been more futuristic than the last one so it was easy for them to include it as some sort of incentive to pre-order the game.
