Daily Fantasy Football Leagues Strategy

Daily Fantasy Leagues are the hottest games in all of Fantasy right now. The most important things to remember when playing Daily Leagues is that you need to be patient. Seldom will you win a lot of money when only betting a little. The best possible strategy to win Daily leagues is to play in multiple leagues. You cannot expect to consistently win by only entering in one or two low-cost leagues. There are 3 ways that you can win a lot of money:

1. You can end up getting incredibly lucky in a Millionaire Maker league.

2. You can play in High Buy-In leagues.

3. You can play with my personal strategy, which will slowly win you money over time.

My Personal Daily League Strategy

This strategy that I developed when I started playing Daily Leagues has allowed me to win a lot of money, but over a period of time. I will enter into the Millionaire Maker league just once a week, so I spend $3 (which is not a lot at all). In the slight chance that I get lucky and pick the perfect lineup, I will have won a lot of money. If not, I only lost $3. Along with that, I play four $5 Head to Heads. This means that I will be playing only one other person, which increases my odds of winning drastically. You can play head to heads for virtually any amount, but I prefer doing the $5 ones because they are safe. If you win this head to head, you will win a total of $9. If you pick players in a smart fashion, you will win money over time. Remember, patience is key, unless you are willing to gamble a lot of money.

Week 8

Notable Injuries:

Matt Forte (RB, Chicago Bears): Matt Forte has been the most consistent RB all-season long. His knee injury initially made him Questionable to return, but he was soon ruled out for the game. Forte is in an interesting situation in Chicago as there have been trade speculations around him. Luckily for Fantasy owners, he enjoys playing in Chicago so his motivation will not limit his production. This knee injury, however, may hold him out. As of right now, Bears Coach John Fox will not comment on Forte's status until a full medical examination is complete. However, he did manage to walk off of the field, showing optimist for his return in Week 9. If not, I would avoid picking up Forte's backup, Jeremy Langford, as the Bears offensive line is not good enough for someone who doesn't have the ability that Matt Forte does. Update: Forte's injury is an MCL tear, not ACL. Thankfully this means he should not be out for too long. More updates to come soon.

Le'Veon Bell (RB, Pittsburgh Steelers): Bell left the field with a gruesome knee injury. Bell played well during his first few games back from suspension, but he has not lived up to his expected fantasy production at the beginning of the season. He had to be carted off the field, but he did manage to move his knee while on the cart. If Bell is to be held out this week. De'Angelo Williams is a more than reliable backup, making the most of his opportunities during Bell's two week suspension. Update: Le'Veon Bell has been placed on season-ending Injured Reserve. It would be wise to pick up Williams, but even more to trade for Martavis Bryant or Antonio Brown because Ben Roethlisberger is back playing and healthy, meaning they will have to rely more on their passing game.

Steve Smith Sr. (WR, Baltimore Ravens): Unfortunately, Steve Smith Sr. has seen the end of his career after suffering an injury in the 3rd quarter. The future hall of famer has a season-ending torn achilles. He has been an elite fantasy option for many years, but that will be no more if he decides to carry through with his decision to retire at the end of this season. Joe Flacco and the Ravens offense will have to lean on their younger WRs to pick up the pass-heavy workload. Update: It seems as if Steve Smith Sr. will wait to announce whether or not he will follow through with his retirement. He is not the type of player to end his career like this.

Ryan Fitzpatrick (QB, New York Jets): Fitzpatrick, who has been incredible all season, has a finger injury on his left hand. Although it is not his throwing hand, he was ruled out for the game. Fitzpatrick has been efficient all season with WRs Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker, but his status will be found out later this week. His backup, Geno Smith, is not a reliable backup to pick up for you season long leagues. Update: Fitzpatrick will have to undergo surgery on his broken finger. He will miss at least a few weeks, but again, do not consider Geno Smith as a reliable backup. This also lowers the value of Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker, regardless of their consistency. This, however, adds huge value to Chris Ivory, as it is likely that the Jets' run game will see a boost in production and attempts.

Kingh of the Week:

Drew Brees (QB, New Orleans Saints): Brees played arguably the greatest game of his life, leading his team to victory with a whopping SEVEN TOUCHDOWN PASSES while completing 80% of his passes for 511 YARDS. Brees has always been an incredible fantasy option in all leagues, rarely underperforming. He alone gave fantasy owners 50.1 points, which is why he is given the Kingh of the Week Award.

Bust of the Week:

Tyler Eifert (TE, Cincinnati Bengals): Eifert had to drop sometime, right? I guess this week was it. Previously being the most reliable TE option all season (besides Rob Gronkowski), the usually week Steelers defense held Eifert to a disappointing 4 receptions for 39 yards. The Steelers rank 3rd worst against TEs, which makes Eifert's fall even more surprising. If you were in a close game and you started Eifert, you probably had a bad time. He will look to make a comeback to his usual self next week against the Cleveland Browns.

Aaron Rodgers (QB, Green Bay Packers): Aaron Rodgers was held to 77 yards by the Broncos' defense. SEVENTY SEVEN. That is unheard of when it comes to arguably the best QB in the league. Rodgers played the worst game of his life as the Broncos' Orange Crush 2.0. He put up just 6 fantasy points, but don't expect him to ever underperform like that ever again. He is still the best QB in the league and will more than likely bounce back next week.

Happy Playing!
