Synopsis

If you've ever sat around with your friends and gasped at the brutal crashes and heart-pounding speeds of television's WORLD'S SCARIEST POLICE CHASES, you might understand just how perfect a video game based on the hit series could be. Join the show's host, Sheriff John Bunnell, over the course of 50-some cops-and-robbers rundowns. Play on either side of the law, choosing from a long list of weapons (most of which are handguns and rifles). The variety of possible weather conditions will keep things even more exciting, and you can choose from six unique modes to chase through. All of the camera angles you'd expect from a television production are featured in the game; throw in the running commentary and you've got a very realistic experience. Whether you love catching criminals or have a soft spot for evading the long arm of the law, you'll appreciate the fast-paced action of WORLD'S SCARIEST POLICE CHASES.

Gameplay

Throughout this game are about fifteen lengthy chases that vastly differ. At first you'll have to chase a vehicle who has just ran a red light, after a few it'll be a liquor store robber, and near the end you'll be hunting down hitmen and high-ranking mobsters, all whilst in a vehicle of course, that can vary such as tanks, squad cars, squad trucks, civilian vehicles, and even buses in one mission. You can also upgrade your squad car every few mission that can boost speed, agility, and acceleration that will eventually just unlock new vehicles for you to use that will improve everything in general.

In the free-roam area, where two-player is allowed, you and a partner (if wanted) can just cruise around the created city that resembles L.A. until you get a call, find new spawn points, and find new vehicles that are only usable in this mode. This mode also has a ten minute time limit and you have to arrest as many people as possible, which wins nothing in the end. This mode can also be played solo but you play as the criminal instead of the cops. Much more just a free-mode for fun than anything else.

Graphics

Whilst the graphics almost do look like a TV show, there are a number of things that will look fairly unappealing. All of the vehicles that you get to use are highly detailed, whilst civilians and "enemies'" aren't, buildings are quite pixelated and for the most part don't even have windows, the environment that includes lakes, trees, fields, and the main streets all look well but could have a few improvements, and the in-game actions such as ramming, crashing, and exploding all look very cheaply done or took to time.

Controls

Controls are very simple in this game considering you never get out of the vehicle or fire a weapon. That being said, the triggers will control the vehicles pedals, the analogs will control the steering wheel, and the buttons will control the siren.
