Unblock Me FREE is a simple and addictive puzzle game. The goal is to unblock the red block out of the board by sliding the other blocks out of the way, unblock it with the minimal moves. Unblock Me FREE comes with 4 difficulties ranging from Beginner to Expert. There are 14500 puzzles in total, the highest amount of puzzles you'll find in any game, worth hundreds of hours to keep you challenged and addicted.

With 2 game modes in Unblock Me FREE, you can challenge yourself in challenge or choose to just lay back and relax while solving your puzzles. In Challenge mode each puzzles has 3 stars to earn, adding its replay value so you can always try to get all 3 star in every puzzle. A ranking system and achievements are also added to keep you even more challenged.

The aim of this intriguing puzzle game is to get the red piece out of the box in as little moves as possible. You accomplish this by moving the brown pieces in certain directions in certain orders out of the way so that the red piece can move through. This gives some very tricky and addictive games which will challenge your concentration as you are sometimes required to memorize patterns and orders in which you will need to move the pieces.

The gameplay in Unblock Me is very entertaining, there aren't any boring bits that make you want to stop playing. There are thousands and thousands of levels to choose from, ranging from Beginner to Expert with bonus levels and expansion packs for each of them. When you start a new game, you can either choose:

Relax Mode
This is just for you to play with no pressure, you can take as long as you want using as many moves on each of the levels. You can play this whenever you have a few minutes spare to gradually move through the giant number of levels.

Challenge Mode
Every move adds to a counter which will keep track of the total number of moves that you have made for that level. You will have a high score for each level that you can go back and improve whenever you want.

You can easily change levels at the press of a button if you are stuck, or want one that is more challenging. You can use hints if you are stuck on a level, one hint will tell you where to move each of the pieces one piece at a time. If you only need guidance on one or two steps of the puzzle, you can disable the hint at any time while it is still enabled, leaving you to complete the level on your own.

Graphics

I found that I really like the graphics in this game, they are very simple yet very appealing. The game has a nice, clean 2D style to it with nicely textured and colored wooden like rectangular pieces to move. In the options menu, you can change the style of the game so that the wooden pieces have different textures, here are the current themes you can choose from:


The audio in this game is also very complimentary to the relaxing feel of the game; a quiet clicking-like sound plays every time you swipe a block, and a cheerful jingle is played when you complete the level. Without audio, this game would not give you the feeling of accomplishment after completing a level. This compliments the calm feel of the game and help to make the user feel proud in a sense.

Controls

The controls in this game are very simple as are those with most handheld games, but I feel there could have been problems with the controls that were avoided which greatly improve the game in my opinion. One of these issues is that when you move a piece, there would be no animation or response to your action. In the game, when you move the piece the slightest, it moves with your finger. I feel this is a crucial part in the game as it lets the user know that they are actually doing something, opposed to some games which will only animate something when the user has completely finished their action. One thing I really like about the controls in this game is that things are always where you need them. Accessing menus, hints, level restarts are only one click away which really adds to the easy accessibility of this game.
