Synopsis:

Grand Theft Auto 2 is an open world action-adventure video game developed by DMA Design and published by Rockstar Games. It was released on 30 September 1999 for Microsoft Windows, and on 22 October 1999 for the PlayStation. It is the fourth title in the Grand Theft Auto series, and the first main entry since 1997's titular Grand Theft Auto. The open world design lets players freely roam Anywhere City, the setting of the game.

Story:

Welcome to Grand Theft Auto 2, a open free roam game that has you in a major city that is infested with a ton of different types of gangs. It will be your job to roam around and get use to the city and see how some of the other gang members and civilians act. As you become more familiar in the city and possibly come across a gun or two make sure to complete as many missions as possible. This way you can get a high score and a ton of cash. With all your cash you can buy some really good guns that will mow down any enemy standing in your way. But do be careful these gangs are dangerous and will attack you if they feel you are a harm to them. Police are always out and everywhere looking for people starting trouble so keep everything you do kinda on the down low so cops do not realize you are causing trouble in the city. When you do get cops on you it is best to just try to lose then other wise you might get the army or worse on your tail and the less heat you have the better. It is time to start your adventure so please do be careful and try not to get into to much trouble.

Gameplay:

Grand Theft Auto 2 is a very old GTA from the series. If you did not play video games in the late 90's then you probably never even heard of this game. But if you did play this game you will remember this awesome game that was a game that stood out from other video games when it was released. I personally remember playing this game as a young kid and thinking how cool this game was and how it could not get any better then this. The series has come a long way from Grand Theft Auto 2 but this game is so cool and fun that I think gamers who never got the chance to play this game should. Pretty much when you get into this game you spawn in a city and you get to free roam and do what ever you want to. But you do need to be careful there is a ton of gangs in this game for every district and the cops are not to nice in this Grand Theft Auto game. The game is not like the games you see today instead it is almost a bird's eye view were you are looking down on your character which is something you no longer see in the Grand Theft Auto series. Personally I like this different view of the game and think it give us a different game play for GTA. The game does play like any other GTA game, you can steal cars and drive them or if you want pull out a gun and shoot people or things. Overall I think this game is still a lot of fun to play and there may not be as much to do in this game as there is in other games from the series but I do think you all should still check this game out. It is a very unique game that is really fun to play and entertaining I do recommend it to anyone.

Graphics:

Grand Theft Auto 2 was released in 1999 so we should keep this in mind when talking about the graphics for this game. Personally I like the graphical look of this game and think they still look good even today. I personally like the bird's eye view the game offers and think it actually fits the game extremely well. The detail to the game is a little bad but that is to be expected from a game like this. I do think gamers will still enjoy this game and the graphics even today because I think it is a classic game that anyone would enjoy. There is a lot of color and explosion in this game that does look good when it is shown and I think this is one of the best parts of this game graphic wise. One thing I have noticed with this game is civilians will sometimes clip through buildings or cars and sometimes can end up walking through each other. Now this does not break the game by any means but when a cop or gang member does this it can be a bit annoying. Overall though I think these graphics look good for this game and are pretty good looking. I think for the time era this was released it was way ahead of it's time and I think still today this game can be enjoyed for what it has to offer.

Controls:

The controls for Grand Theft Auto 2 are extremely basic and easy to learn. They work pretty much like the other games from the series so if you have ever played any other Grand Theft Auto game then you will be fine with this one. I do think the controls fit the game really well though I personally like how basic the controls are and I think it actually makes it more fun being able to play the game without having to think what the controls are and what they do. Overall I think the controls are good and fit the game well. I do not see why anyone would have issues trying to learn them or remember them. I think they make the game a lot of fun the way they are now and do not see a need for changing them.
