Gameplay
This game is played in a different way from more traditional Spider-Man games, what I mean by that is the path that is supposed to be taken is solely up to the player. You get to choose who is your enemies and who is your friend. Also at any point you can switch between normal Spider-Man and Symbiote Spider-Man, what's the difference you say well normal Spidey is a quick moving agile character whereas Symbiote Spidey is a heavy hitting powerhouse. Choices in this game can change the outcome of the ending that you the player get a chance to see. Do you wish to see a Symbiote infested city well that's up to you. There is also crossovers in this game which allows you to play with characters not typical in a Spider-Man world, like Wolverine the ferocious nearly indestructible mutant.
Plot
The plot of this game isn't as specific as other games seeing as you decide the outcome, which personally is a cool feature and allows for replay ability, you can pick more of a good side and fight Spidey's normal villains like Venom or Vulture as well as others. The other option is to side with various villains and fight normal allies, but all of these aren't set in stone so you can mix and match who to fight. Leading up to your specific ending will make you feel like a large influence in this world. That being said there are a lot of choices to really make you decide what to do, and that's a good feeling. So are you the "Friendly neighborhood Spider-Man" or will you embrace the power of the Symbiote and infest the city?
Story
I enjoyed playing through the story of this game and being honest I personally enjoy being evil cause its more of a joyride, but that being said I still am good at some point whether or not its in a second playthrough of the game really depends how devious I'm feeling. As a fan of comic books I probably was more in depth with all that was happening but all of what happened in this game was really intriguing especially with the symboites around (which happens to be one of my favorite things in the Marvel universe.) Being in this world provides the feel of really being Spider-Man. I personally love this feeling of being one of the greatest.
Graphics
The graphics in this game are quite nice for when this was released, most of what was on the screen was really fluid and didn't suffer from frame drops. There are some clunky time in the game though most of which when a lot of things are happening at once. Also there is a noticeable feel with movement between the two Spideys, still managing to be quick on animations when in normal Spidey mode is pretty astounding seeing as you do move really fast. The animations for Symbiote Spidey is really well done as well cause all of the whipping moves still look fluid and posses that certain feel. Manhattan looks as it should and is pretty cool to see with the symbiote infestation going on.
Controls
The controls for this game fit in where they need to being able to channel extensive combos like you would sort of in one the Batman Arkham games. I really like the smooth feel of how this game plays and it provides a tremendous experience to being Spider-Man. I also like the function to able to change into Symbiote Spider-Man which is more to my liking cause of the devastating combos you can do.

Personal Note: I really enjoyed my time with this game and would recommend it to Spidey fans as well as people looking for a fun game. Being able to play through this multiple times is a nice thing seeing as you get the chance to get your money's worth.
