Synopsis

Gameplay
This game draws its gameplay from other hack and slash games like, God of War. It uses different types of attack like grabs, light attacks, and heavy attacks as well as a lunge move to get to your enemies faster. Wolverine can do other thing to defeat his foes like impale them on spikes. When you play the game Wolverine builds up a rage meter and eventually when full you can unleash more powerful attacks like claw spin, as well as enter a rage mode which increases Wolverine's claw strength. So you can use your abilites to fight through enemies and dismember them, with your fierce mutant powers.
Plot
This game starts with you on a mission with Team X, in Africa searching for meteor deposits. With the missions that you are on in Africa, these are experienced by the player through flashbacks. Leading up to Logan (Wolverine) leaving Team X. Years later Logan is in Canada and his brother (Victor Creed) shows up at a bar and him and Logan get into it, Victor wins, breaking Logan's bone claws and leaving him there. Col. Stryker (The leader to Team X) and offers Logan a second chance, Logan accepts and goes into the Weapon X program bonding his bones with adamantium, at this moment the being known as Wolverine is created with razor sharp claws and is nearly indestructible. Wolverine later escapes and hunts down the old members of Team X, later Wolverine must befriend a mutant and get him to travel to Stryker Island to stop Col. Stryker from keeping mutants from being experimented on and held as prisoners.
Story
The story for this version of this game is much more gory and bloody, as it is a better experience to show the ferocity of The Wolverine. This story holds plenty of action packed boss fights as well as comical moments. It shows the perspective as most of the movie, some parts are added, but it holds well with the film. I guess I could say if you've seen the movie then you know what happens. In this case you are The Wolverine looking for revenge and it's very nice.
Graphics
The graphics in this game are fairly well done for a few years back, This version of the game is a much more intensified version seeing as it's much more gory and bloody and whatnot. There aren't whole bunch of problems with this game besides some glitches where you can get stuck in some objects, which may be aggravating in boss fights but you can always reload a save. Besides that there aren't a lot of frame drops and most to all of the time was smooth and a fun experience pouncing on enemies and being this well know character. So not a bunch of complaints here.
Controls
The controls of this game are all good, using a system you probably still see today with the light, heavy, and grab moves. All of which are mapped to a specific button and work well to slash your enemies, it all works for this game, and the combat shows for it. As far as other controls go this game is set on a default layout and can't change much besides look inversion.

Overall - 8/10
Personal Note: With me being a comic book fan I quite enjoyed playing through this game as was overall entertained, This game can be enjoyed on different difficulty modes. So being able to replay this game is there. I would recommend this game for most players and would at least rent it. Or you can buy it fairly cheap.
