Gameplay
Within this game you play as the tactical duo, Alpha and Bravo, two mercenaries scooped up into T.W.O by Tyson Rios and Elliot Salem (Characters from the first game) you and a teammate (AI or not) go through a series of missions and objectives, how the mission is gone through is up to the player(s). The overkill system is added to this installment of the series replacing the back to back mechanic, also the vast customization system is brought back but in a more serious manor rather than the extensive customization in Army of Two: The Fortieth Day. Lastly, it is good to note that the customization in previous games in this series was greater, they toned the customization down a little compared to before.

Plot
After being recruited into T.W.O Alpha and Bravo are joined by Rios and Salem in a rescue mission to save multiple hostages, the only hostage that is found still alive, a girl named Fiona. Salem attempts to leave as he assumes if he were to stay that he would die, Alpha, Bravo, and Rios are successful in saving Fiona, but in the process Rios loses his leg trying to save Salem from a car fire and the explosion renders Salem dead. Five years have passed and T.W.O is hired by mayor Cordova, seeking to bring down the La Guadaa and its leader, Estaban Bautista. Alpha and Bravo must fight through cartel compounds, resorts and even cemeteries to track down the cartel's leader, while doing so the team meets El Diablo a masked man and the cartel's head lieutenant. They must use the tactical skills they learned to take down El Diablo and the rest of the cartel and make Mexico a better place.

Story
Enjoying the first two games in the series I expected a lot from the third installment and the game started out good, but towards the end of the first mission I was already able to piece a significant portion of the game together and that drew back from the experience and ultimately had upset me in the process. That aside I still enjoyed how everything flowed together and did have a good time playing with my buddy rather than the AI given if you choose to play alone.

Graphics
The graphics in this game were very nice as they added destructible environments to the series. The character design was good and customization as well as the masks used in the game and the weapons, this allowed originality to the player and was a good thing cause you got to make your own Alpha or Bravo. The new added overkill ability added a new dynamic as it was able to be used when the player feels rather than the previous back to back sections of the previous games.

Controls
The controls in this game fit the third person experience very well, they have typical third person shooter button layout's. Aiming, mantling, firing, and dodging all work well and flow nicely within this game. Another thing to mention is the fact that there are many different control layouts for many different player play styles. No complaints within the controls section of this review or the actual game.

Multiplayer
This game features entire campaign drop in drop out co-op either online with a friend from around the world, or just down the road, or, you can play the entire game's campaign in split-screen local co-op. There is no death-match options or anything like that within this game as this game is solely a campaign based game. I personally feel that playing with a friend is a much more enjoyable experience rather than playing with an AI that isn't up to human standards.

Ratings
Gameplay - 8/10
Plot - 8/10
Story - 7.5/10
Controls - 9/10
Graphics - 8.5/10
Multiplayer- 9/10
Overall - 8/10

Personal Note: This game was a reasonable game throughout the story and I recommend it to those who have played the other two games as well as people that may be new to the series, I say that as long as you have a buddy to experience it with as the solo in this game is not how it is intended to be played, Id say that this game is at least worth a rent or buy as it is a lot cheaper than its initial release.
