Synopsis
Full Auto 2: Battlelines puts high-speed vehicles outfitted with weapons and armor into fully realized and fully destructible urban street environments. Fierce combat-racing will ensue as you strategically use destruction to win races as well as leave massive devastation in your wake. Players can destroy the environment to dynamically change track conditions to block competitors, open new paths, or crush opponents with falling debris caused by well-timed missiles. Full Auto 2: Battlelines, which is the sequel to the award-winning Full Auto, also introduces a new Arena Mode featuring team play and six different levels, each specifically designed for a unique type of multiplayer car combat.

Gameplay
In this game you play as an anon racer who is pitted up against other racers, known only as the, Ascendants. This group tries their best to terrorize the city through vehicular combat and through their death race tournaments. The goal of each race is simple. Survive, place as high as possible, destroy lots in the environment, destroy boss vehicles (in which there are quite a few) and sometimes protect a special racer, VIP if you will. Each race/mission has a set amount of objectives. First and most important is usually winning the race in as high a place as you can get. Which in turn usually rewards you with a special car and or weapon. Finishing secondary objectives will unlock a common car, weapon, or possibly a rare vehicle skin.

Plot
In this game you are placed in the city, known as, Meridian City. In this city you are not only facing up against other racers that happen to be part of the murderous and violent street racing gang known as the Ascendants, but you are also up against a sentient being known as SAGE. The leader of the Ascendants actually drives a vehicle known as the "warlord" that contains SAGE safeguard database. When the leader is defeated, the car is shut down from his control and reboots into a new vehicle, the "Executioner" with SAGE sageguard being in control, and through her learning history, deduces that the only way to save humanity, is to destroy it. Through this machine theory complex that SAGE has, the player's hand is forced in an attempt to stop SAGE from killing everyone.

Story
The story-line to this game is actually quite unique. You start the game like most other racing games, except with a twist of armor and weapons being attached to your vehicle and you being pitted up against a street gang, the Ascendants. But, when you are just getting into the game, they add in SAGE, a super slick, smart, and deadly racer/opponent into the mix, except in this case, she wants to kill everyone, not just you. This racing game is different than other racing games that I have played, but not in a bad way.

Multiplayer
The multiplayer of this game is fun an all, but not the way the story mode is. I mean, don't get me wrong, the online gameplay portion of this game is fun, but like I said above, not in the same sense that the story mode. They have a few different game modes within the online portion of this game, head to head races, protext the VIP, demolition derby, and a few more that I didn't mention, but, the multiplayer aspect of this game is a little lacking compared to the greatness that is this game's story.

Graphics
The graphics on this game are actually pretty great for the time of it's 2006, release. The only things I can see wrong in the graphics department of this game is that some of the buildings, cars, and things along that nature don't look as detailed as they could. Also, this game has a somewhat destructible environment, and sometimes when things break, it doesn't look real at all. Could have done MUCH better with the graphics in my opinion. That being said, still has pretty nice graphics for its 2006 release date.

Controls
The controls of this racing game are very easy to get used to. They share the same style of control scheme of most other racing games, except with a few added buttons to control your weapons. The buttons used to control weapons are very manageable and easy to reach in game, no struggle at all. Very solid control layout for this 2006 vehicular combat racing game.

Personal Note: This game is one of the best racing games that I have ever played. Also, something note able about this game is that for a racing game, it actually has a really in depth story. Really recommend this game for anyone that is/has been looking for a really entertaining racing/shooter game.
