Title: Slender: The Arrival

Publisher: Blue Isle Studios & Midnight City

Genres: Survival Horror

Synopsis(Copied):
You're on your own. No one to come for you. No one to help you. No one to hear you scream. Slender: The Arrival is the official videogame adaption of Slender Man, developed in collaboration with Eric "Victor Surge" Knudson, creator of the paranormal phenomenon that has been terrifying the curious-minded around the world since its inception, with Mark Hadley and Blue Isle Studios.

Back in 2012, Mark Hadley (AgentParsec) created a game that captivated gamers around the world. Slender: The Eight Pages was a short, experimental first-person game that helped breathe new life into the horror genre through its use of unadulterated tension and fear.

Experience the horror all over again.

Slender: The Arrival is the official re-imagining and expansion of the original game created by Mark Hadley, teamed up with the writers behind the Marble Hornets series and the development team at Blue Isle Studios. The Arrival features a brand new storyline, improved visuals, great replay value, and most importantly, survival horror at its best.

The Arrival officially supports the Oculus Rift a next generation virtual headset designed for super immersive gaming! The Rift intensifies the fear-factor, and gives players a brand new, immersive horror experience.

Gameplay:
Let me start of saying the game play is actually pretty good for a slender game; the game has advanced into a thrilling and chilling experience where you must find 8 pages, you are often in abandoned areas, such as in the woods, broken and deserted houses and overall in the middle of nowhere, you are defenceless since all you have is a flashlight, and the best way to survive is to run, run as far away from whatever the danger is. Slendermans behaviour is rather a variety on different levels and can be seen several times on one level and a few times on another and varies. The game can be very tense and eerie and jump scares often happen, this is one of the best slender games out to date, since the models and everything else have been detailed and made into a semi-professional game.

Graphics:
Let me start off saying I was surprised with the graphics in this game, usually in slender games, often the models are not very nice and the textures are pretty shabby and they often look like college projects, well in this game I was blown away (not use to seeing slender games this pretty.). The graphics can range from beautiful to eerie scary atmospheric graphics which creates a very tense feeling when playing the game, the models have been rendered and created nicely and the textures are very nice to, they have actually added some nice and very interesting detail into this game which makes the game unique compared to other scary genre type games, and I also don't experience any bugs, lag or anything of the sort with the graphics. Teh graphics in the game actually feel solid, and well built, when using an fps counter, the frame rates are solid and consistent, I don't notice any frame drops only at times which are hectic multiple things happening but the frames only drop like a couple of frames nothing significant.

Controls:
The controls in this game are fairly common and easy to get the hang of, WASD keys and a couple of other buttons and a mouse and you are all set, the game feels fluid when using the mouse and keyboard and also has features of customization which makes the game a lot better so you can use different set ups to play. The game has good sensitivity and feels well coded, other than that you wont really need a top of the range keyboard, or an anti ghosting keyboard with this game, since you won't really be using multiple keys often; the game has very good control with the character and user input, to me the controls feel very solid and are worth a shot at trying the game out.
