Info
Title: Operation Flashpoint: Red River
Genre: Action, Strategy
Developer: Codemasters Action Studio
Publisher: Codemasters
Release Date: 20 Apr 2011

Synopsis
Stand together with the US Marines in Operation Flashpoint: Red River, the ultimate tactical infantry shooter. Youll play as one of four distinct and complimentary classes in a Marine Fireteam Grenadier, Scout, Rifleman and Automatic Rifleman - as you embark on an epic campaign. Take on huge sandbox battlefields in the new setting of Tajikistan, a geopolitical hotspot bordered by Afghanistan and China.

Gameplay
I bought this game on day 1, as much as i loved the predecessor (Dragon Rising) I was very nervous about playing this. But they really pulled it off. It is pretty much the game game just with updated, well...Everything. I love the fact that they kept the same physics within the game, it feels exactly the same to play, just a bit smoother. The fast paced FPS game has been completely revamped into this new one. Couldn't of asked for more. The mission, again. Are very long winded, it takes around an hour to and hour an a half to complete each one. And that's only if it goes smoothly. there are just so many good things about this game, Ic can't even name them all.

Graphics
The graphics are brilliant, they have been upgraded to a point where they make the game so much better. Whilst still having epic graphical settings, it isn't hard to run at all. I was running it at 80FPS all maxed out at 1080p. And be assured it is a thing of beauty. The colors have great depth in both light and dark areas, the shadows are extremely high detail along with the light tones being saturated just right. Not much else I can say about them, just other than, they're brilliant.
Here are a few examples.
All taken from the first cut-scene.

Controls
The controls are easier than Dragon Rising as they have mapped and grouped them up. I still had to change a few things in there to fit my needs, but they covered most of them in the default layout. Now playing this on a mouse and keyboard is difficult, there are so many buttons that you need to remember it's untrue, but when you figure them all out and have some resemblance of what they do, it's a joy playing this game. So in saying that, it again is more directed towards the older audience due to the amount of buttons and mappings.
