Synopsis
Rocksmith 2014 is a music video game produced by Ubisoft. It is a replacement to the 2011 rhythm video game Rocksmith rather than a sequel. The game's main focus is the feature that allows players to plug in virtually any electric guitar or bass and play. It was announced at Ubisoft's 2013 E3 presentation.

Gameplay
Rocksmith 2014 Edition is a fun little game just like the guitar hero series but much more advanced. The game requires things to actually play the game which is really bad in my opinion, those things are; use of the "Hercules" adapter, a USB cable that connects to the standard 1/4 in (6.35 mm) output jack of most electric guitars and basses. Any way in the gameplay it features the similar technique of the games but actually using a real guitar instead of a fake one with buttons. The game has three different little modes or skills that you can learn; rhythm, bass, and lead. Once you choose the game mode or skill you want you can choose a song you want to play. After the song is chosen you can set the song difficulty to whatever the player may choose. The real modes are session mode and master mode. In session mode you just jam out with the in-game musicians, you can also choose whatever song you like. Master mode is more to help you memorize the notes so you can play it without looking at a TV. I really enjoy playing the game at my buds house but I was really bad at it, it requires some money to it too which is another bad thing. It helps you learn songs of things so you can show off to people or whatever you want to do with it.

Graphics
The graphics on this game are really nothing to explain really, it is also pretty much the exact same thing as guitar hero or Rock band. It has 11 little lines, but 5-6 are highlighted so you know exactly where to look at. At the end of your screen the blue highlighted lines will meet up with a yellow goldish kind of line and thats the key when you want to strum and press the note. The notes are different colors and they will be coming towards you, when they reach that yellow line you need to strum and hit the note and thats how it really plays out. If you hit it just right there is a guitar and it will highlight red. Thats the whole graphics really, it is simple and great for this kind of game. I really like how its like this because it makes everything simple and easy for this, no improvements whatsoever.

Controls
Ok well im pretty sure you understand the controls of this game, as it is like most other games where it requires to play a guitar. All the controls are is strum and hit the note on your guitar. Some notes are just hit the note and take it right off of the note, some other notes are hit the notes and hold it. If you get one of the notes where you hold it you can whammy it so it makes a different sound. It takes a little while to get use to your guitar and how you want to handle it, every one has there own preferences. I really enjoy how it teaches you how to play the guitar, but I am absolutely terrible at this game, I think im going to have to stick with guitar hero or the fake guitars haha.
