Not sure if I posted this is the right place before soo..

This is not a request for modding my save with console commands. It's a bit more intricate. I want to make PC mods playable on my Ps3, which I've discovered is possible with OFW, through the downloading of another user's Ps3 save (SYS-DATA) from their CFW modded console.

Mostly details and ranting. My request is really just the last paragraph.[

I need help from somebody familiar with both the PS3 and modding. Optimally I'd like help jail-breaking my console and installing CFW (Custom Firmware), however, from my understanding, that involves the need to downgrade my firmware, which, in turn, requires soldering wires amongst other complicated processes I have no strong desire to screw around with. If you are: familiar with PC-Ps3 file converting and modding, a computer whiz, know someone who is, or are just curious, read on. Here's my issue:

Originally, I only wanted to repair a broken quest-line on my Skyrim save. If you've played The Elder Scrolls before, you know how easily the most pitiful, seemingly-harmless bug can break your whole save. All 338 hours, 46 minutes and 33 seconds of it. That said, I reaaallly don't want to start over, but I'm a stickler for game completion, so, with a heavy heart and gamer-rage beyond your imagination.. I'd delete and start over.. deja vu.

But, I digress. I've figured out how to fix the bug via a method of converting my SYS-DATA (Ps3 save data) to an .ess (PC Save data) using a Ps3 Toolkit GUI, and repairing the quest through console commands off the PC version of Skyrim. The NEW problem.. is that now that I've immersed myself into the world of coding, file editing, modding, etc. I've become greedy for game content, and now I wish to make the mods I've discovered playable on my console. Unfortunately, that's where my problem comes in. See, as aforementioned, the only known methods of accomplishing this is with CFW, or by using somebody else's uploaded save data from their own modded Ps3. And of course, there are more issues to go with converting and using the save data of another user.

Assuming you're able to actually find a save that isn't whacky and ridiculously over-modded, you need to go through another program to rewrite ownership to you or else your conformist 3.56+ Ps3 will forbid you from saving once you load a save due to it "belonging to another user". Not to mention you probably would like to have your own custom avatar and settings for roleplaying purposes. This is all the information I've been able to gather, so if there's anything I missed, such as, let's say, a totally simple, n00b-friendly method of modding the Ps3, please let me know.

Details and ranting ends here.

What I would love, is for somebody with experience in this field, to take an uploaded copy of my save, and if possible, apply the desired mods and changes to it for me. Assuming anyone out there has a CFW Ps3, this would be most easy using the ".INI template edit" method along with the right know-how. I would really appreciate the help if anyone is serious about it. I can't afford to keep staying up late trying to figure this all out to the point of migraines, along-side work and babysitting in the daytime. Thanks everyone and anyone. (:

I learned that one can simply download saves from other users who have modded their saves using CFW from this [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] . The guide to .INI template editing used to mod your 3.55 CFW ps3 I found [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

From all research I've heard, the only way to have PC mods on a console is to have a modded console, since the PC mods aren't save based, but require DLC style files to install on your console. Without the required files, you'd have nothing, similar to having a save that requires DLC to fully work but not having the DLC it needs, you'd not have the items/locations from the DLC.

That's what I was worried about. I knew it sounded too good to be true. Thanks for the input. A friend of a friend said he knew how to tinker with computers and consoles. It's risky business but maybe he can help me out as far as getting the downgrade done. Wish me luck. Cheers.
