Movie Review Thread

As a lot of people have and requested a movie review forum/thread, I figured I would kinda kick start it off by creating this thread.

Now in this thread users can choose what ever kind of movie they would like to do a review on. Similar to the Game Review forum. The layout is similar to the same one Dimebag tells everyone to use here.

Synopsis

For the people who do not know what this means it's just a brief summary over it.

You can copy and paste this, or type it yourself.

Story Line of the Movie

In this category all you need to do is be able to tell about the story line and what takes place and all the events in the movie.

When you go to post your "Story Line" please put spoiler around it to keep ruining movies for people who haven't seen it. You can use spoilers by high lighting your text and using
[spoil][/spoil]
around the text.

Rating
The rating is going to be just like the Game Review. You are going to rate the movie 1 out of 10.

*Note: Since we do not have a actual "Movie Review Forum" users cannot vote their rating on the movie. If a user feels the need to do a review on the same movie, simply quote this user and spoil his review so it is not taking up the whole page.

Users can vote whether they like the review or not by using the Up vote and Down vote feature.

For tutorials on how to make a better movie review, you can take Dimebag's advice on his Game Review Tutorials. Your just doing it as a movie not a game. You can find his tutorial here.

I hope to see people posting movie reviews very soon.

Here is a list of 2013 movies to choose from when making a review, if you can't find one.

Movie Information

Movie Release Date: August 7th, 2013.
Film Publisher: Warner Brothers
Director(s): Rawson Marshall Thurber
Genre: Comedy & Crime
Sequels: N/A
Actors:
Jennifer Anniston - Rose
Jason Sudeikis - David Clark
Emma Roberts - Casey Mathis
Will Poulter - Kenny Rossmore

Synopsis (Fandango)

A low-level pot dealer poses as a family man in order to pay back a debt to his supplier in this comedy starring Saturday Night Live alumni Jason Sudeikis. If you're a soccer mom in search of some reefer, David Burke (Sudeikis) is just the man to talk to. He certainly isn't the biggest dealer in town, but he's discreet, and aims to please. When David attempts to perform a good deed and gets robbed in the process, however, his supplier Brad (Ed Helms) is none too happy. Now, in order to pay Brad back before the hammer drops, David must retrieve a big drug shipment from Mexico and sneak back across the border undetected. It's a risky job for sure, but with the help of a few neighbors David might just pull it off. With sardonic stripper Rose (Jennifer Aniston) assuming the role of housewife, teenage misfit Kenny (Will Poulter) posing as the awkward son, and rebellious Casey (Emma Roberts) filling in as his sister, David slips on some khakis, and starts heading south. Meanwhile, as David tries to convince himself that the border patrol wouldn't give a second glance at such a typical suburban family, the shipment -- and the stakes -- both prove greater than anticipated.

Story Line

After David Clark gets robbed out of high stash of cannabis and about $40,000 in drug money, his boss forces him to take a trip to Mexico to pick up a load of what he thinks is just a "smidge" of cannabis. The best way to make it past border portal is to hire a stripper and two kids that are usually around the building he lives in. Finally once they get going in the RV they were instructed to smuggle the drugs out of the country with, a hose breaks while going up a steep incline, forcing them to seek help from the Fitzgeralds, a socially awkward and very hyper family. Whilst getting towed to the local auto repair shop, Rose, the drug smugglers fake wife, accidentally opens the glove compartment to find a gun and a DEA badge. Now learning that they are receiving help to complete their drug smuggling mission by a DEA agent.

The next day when they are finally going to pick up their RV that is full of two metric tons of cannabis, they find Pablo Chacon, a drug kingpin there with his goons. They learn quickly that he was setup by his boss to steal Pablo Chacon's drugs. Pablo Chacon gives them a chance to say any last words before he kills them and Casey, David Clark's fake daughter, pleads with Pablo saying that they aren't even a real family and that Rose is just a stripper. Pablo asks Rose to prove she is a stripper and when she finally gets close enough to Pablo she blasts a hot steam vent into his face which lets the Millers get out virtually unharmed but Kenny is behind the wheel. Since Kenny couldn't gain control of the RV it crashed into a ditch where a poisonous spider crawls out from the fruit bowl the mother of one of Pablo's goons gave him and bits Kenny in his junk which ended up having a very severe allergic reaction. Kenny gets taken to the hospital while David gets fed up with Rose and Casey and leaves them at a carnival.

After just minutes of being on the road alone, David starts to miss his fake family and turns around to get them. Once he gets out of the RV to go and find his fake family and when he returns Pablo Chacon's goon is pointing a gun at their faces and out of no where Don Fitzgerald jumps out of his RV and wacks the good in the head with a coffee mug and arrests him. Pablo then comes up from behind Don with Don's daughter and a gun in his hand, David works up the courage to hit the gun out of Chacon's hand and when Rose went to pick up the gun, she accidentally shoots Pablo in the shoulder. Except when Pablo is trying to get back up Kenny punches him in the face to knock him out cold. Once they finally arrived back in Colorado, David went to deliver the drugs to Gurdlinger, which ends up saying that they missed their deadline and he wasn't going to pay him a penny for what he had to go through. Little to Gurdlinger's knowledge, David figured he wasn't going to get paid and had the DEA swarm his house after denying him pay. To end the movie the Miller family is put into witness protection while the Gurdlinger trial is to go on, leaving them all in one house as a happy family.

This is the funniest movie I have seen since Step Brothers. If you're looking for a good laugh, this would be the movie to watch. There is a lot of swearing, so I would be cautious as to how loud you're going to play the volume. Other than that, it is a fantastic movie and I plan on watching it again.

I think there's no need to request a movie forum. This thread is very well structured, and provides a very simple and clean way for other users to scroll through the different reviews about the movie. I support this Idea 100% percent, and really hope that it becomes a sticky.

Good luck & Thanks for the thread.

In the next scene, Pat is released from a mental hospital in Philadelphia and moves back home with his parents. He spends his days working out and reading Nikki's high school syllabus. Rating: 10/10
Going into this movie, I assumed it would be another sappy, stupid romantic comedy. I'm not much a rom-com guy anyways and figured I would hate it. To this day it remains one of my favorite movies of all time. The two odd characters are played brilliantly by both Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence. They make these two depressed, bipolar characters seem real and almost undeniable perfect for each other. Plus, who doesn't love Jennifer Lawrence. I would recommend this to everyone and it's certainly not a bad movie for date night ;)

Shortly after that, his father was killed by a hockey puck to the head. Then Happy was forced to move in with his grandmother (Frances Bay). Happy Gilmore had many jobs like janitor, gas station attendant, security guard, plumber and a construction worker. The construction job didn't work out well because he shot his giant boss, Mr. Larsen (Richard Kiel) in the head with a nail gun which got Happy beaten up very badly.

Happy Gilmore has hockey tryouts and doesn't make the team so he gets in a fist fight with the coach of the team. When Happy gets home, his girlfriend leaves him because she says he is a loser. The next morning Happy goes to his Grandma's house because the IRS is going to take her home and everything in it. Happy is angry so he throws the IRS agent (Robert Smigel) through the front door. He is told to get the house back, they need to come up with $270,000. Happy wants to watch the hockey game at his grandma's house so he goes outside to tell the moving guys to get back to work. The 2 guys try out golf clubs and then challenge Happy to see if he can outdrive one of them. If he does then they will get back to work. Happy hits the ball over 400 yards and breaks a window of a house. Then the men ask him do it again for $20. He does it and hits a man in the head. Then they offer him double or nothing and he does and this time hits woman in the head and she falls off a roof. That is when he notices his ability to drive a golf ball. Happy then brings his grandma to the nursing home where she will live.

The next day Happy goes to the driving range to hustle people and earn some money. He outdrives everyone there. A former club pro with a fake hand, Chubbs Peterson (Carl Weathers) introduces himself near the batting cages and tells him to enter the Waterbury Open. Happy refuses but Chubbs tells him he can make money. Happy thinks of grandma so he decides to enter the Waterbury Open.

The winner of the Waterbury Open gets to join the Pro Tour. Happy Gilmore wins the Waterbury Open. Chubbs offers Happy six months of training to get better at putting but he refuses. Happy Gilmore attends a tour party and is told by Shooter to meet him at the 9th green at nine. Happy goes and the sprinklers go off so now he wants to beat up Shooter. Happy goes to visit grandma at the nursing home and she pretends to like it there even though she hates it. The orderly (Ben Stiller) threatens her and says if she tells Happy that they abuse people then she will be killed.

The AT&T Open is the first event of the tour and Happy Gilmore doesn't do very well. Happy Gilmore and Virginia go on a date to ice skate and she kisses Happy. Later in the tour Happy is paired with Bob Barker in a tournament. Bob Barker is mad at Happy for doing bad in the tournament because a man is annoying Happy. Happy gets in a fistfight with Bob and loses. Chubbs takes Happy to a miniature golf course to play a game. Happy does good so Chubbs gives him a putter that looks like a hockey stick as a gift. Happy tells Chubbs that he has a gift for him and opens up a wooden box. The box contains the alligator that bit of Chubbs hand. Chubbs is so frightened, he accidentally falls out of the window and dies.

Shooter McGavin buys the house at the auction and says he will piss on the ashes after he burns it down. Happy is threatened so he must now win the tour. The final event of the year is the Tour Championship which can get Happy enough money to get his grandma' house back. Shooter is intimidated by Happy so he hires people to distract Happy Gilmore during the championship. The match is close the whole way. A crazy fan, ordered by Shooter, runs Happy over with a car, but Happy is still okay. After the crazy man, ran over Happy, he drives into a tower which falls onto the green blocking Happy's chance for a birdie to win the tour. The judges say that he must play it as it is. Happy remembers the amazing putt he made at the miniature golf course and it is similar here. Happy hits the ball of the car and it goes through pipes and amazingly lands in the hole. Happy wins the tour championship and gets the gold jacket. Shooter steals the jacket and runs away with it but Mr. Larsen catches him and beats him up.

Happy, Virginia, Grandma and the homeless man who was Happy's caddy all go back to grandma's house.

I have literally just sat down and watched this movie and finished it just 30 minutes or so ago. This is the best of the three in series and this movie makes you feel as if the team is getting old, but is still very capable of kicking some butt. Now, before everyone freaks out about the movie not even being out yet, I got to see the movie from a DVD Rip that my friend let me borrow, and I also have NOT put any information in this that hurts the story. So, no spoilers
