The game is set to be released on November 5th 2013 and will be available for the both the PC, Wii U and PS Vita as well as both current-gen consoles (Xbox 360 and PS3) and the next-gen consoles (Xbox One and PS4).

DLC And Season Pass

The DLC available for Call of Duty: Ghosts is set to include 4 map packs, Ghosts Team Leader and Insignia Pack and potentially micro-items at a later date.

The Season Pass will cover the 4 map packs and the Ghosts Team Leader pack which is said to include a character modelled from a campaign character which will can be used in multiplayer. Additional content will also be included. The season pass will be usable for both current-gen and next-gen versions, this means if you only need to buy one season pass to unlock the features for the Xbox 360 and Xbox One, or the PS3 and PS4.

Call of Duty: ELITE

Call of Duty: ELITE will be staying with us during Call of Duty: Ghosts, it is said to have significant upgrades which further allow the player to customise their loadouts and characters, from various devices, where ever they are. There will most likely be clan competitions again which may then unlock extra features such as a gold clan tag and clan backgrounds. This being said, Call of Duty: ELITE will supposedly be phased out around March 2014, whilst related features such as clans will remain.

An exciting new addition comes along with Call of Duty: ELITE, this being Clan Wars. This feature allows clans to challenge others to games to compete for not only the win, but also clan xp! Whilst playing, the players will also gain xp to go towards their multiplayer ranks as they would do from a regular game.

Cross-Gen Gaming

Call of Duty: Ghosts will not allow cross-gen gaming (Xbox 360 players playing with Xbox One players and PS3 players with PS4) but it will allow profile transfer. This means that if a player purchases a current-gen version of Call of Duty: Ghosts, if they later proceed to get the next-gen counterpart (Xbox 360 to Xbox One or PS3 to PS4), then they are able to transfer over their Ghosts profile so they can pick up where they left off.

Ghost Stories
After the rods start dropping and you're back to Hesh and his brother when the ground starts falling, run to the right side past the first house, jump the car in the driveway and into the open door. The intel is right in front of you.

Brave New World
When you get back to the HQ go all the way to the top floor, just before exiting to the balcony there's a large desk. The intel is on the middle of it.

No Man's Land
When you get to the huge yellow crane area, clear the enemies and proceed into the barrack, look to the right before exiting, it is on top of a desk.

Struck Down
Once you do the breach where and clear out the enemies, inside the cabinet to the left from the door you entered is the intel.

Homecoming
At the beginning of the mission when you enter the building, instead of going up the stairs take a left and it'll be right there on top of some sandbags.

Legends Never Die
After the city floods and you cross the collapsing walkway, when Rorke says "Stay on my six" there will be two enemies behind a desk. The intel is located here.

Federation Day
Once you enter the building by rappelling, go left and enter the first door. The intel is to the right on the desk in the cubicle.

Birds Of Prey
After you are on foot for the second time, clear the rooftop after your team breaches the door and you will see the intel directly in front of you on the desk. You will need to acquire this quickly!

The Hunted
As soon as you meet back up with the Ghosts, to your left on some rocks near the little brook is the intel.

Clockwork
Right after the power goes down and you go through the security scanners, there is a glass room right in front of you, inside it is the piece of intel.

Atlas Falls
Once you storm the pressure regulator control room and your team mate grabs the enemy, look to the right and you will see the intel on top of a file cabinet.

Into The Deep
After you sink the LSC and get to the first group of enemies, the intel is on the sea floor to the right in between you and the first coral rock.

End Of The Line
when you enter the missile room and must use camera. Immediately down the scale is the intel.

Sin City
Shoot your way through the kitchens, down into the mall. Clear the mall area down the stairs until you reach a checkpoint where one of the AI opens a shutter for you to go under. Once you go under the shutter look immediately left and there on the left on a table is the intel.

All Or Nothing
Right when you place the mask on, turn around the first set of bunkers to your left behind the curtain, the flash that appears is where the intel is located.

Severed Ties
After you launch the missile and find out Rorke is around, go down the flight of stairs and soon as you get through the first doorway turn right and in the small room the intel is located.

Loki
When you try to enter the airlock and the fuel lines explode, exit the section and look slightly up to the left towards the solar panel. The intel is floating and slowly going away.

The Ghost Killer
As soon as you spawn in the train carriage and Rorke appears on a screen, after he has finished speaking look around to the right of the carriage and you will see the laptop.

Extinction

Extinction is an all new 1-4 player co-op game mode which consists of base defence, scavenging and other objectives, class levelling, and of course survival. This new game mode will drop players into the unknown where they have to complete objectives whilst surviving hordes of aliens thirsty for blood. To unlock the Extinction game mode, you must play and complete the first mission of the campaign "A Brave New World".

Below is a list of the four different classes to choose from in this all new game mode, each with special bonuses. You should consider what is most important when getting stuck in as the most successful teams will consist of a variety of classes, using different abilities to best compliment each other and adequately defend against the alien horde.

Weapon Specialist
    Bonus: 20% more bullet damage.
The Weapon Specialist focuses on one vital task: destroy as many aliens as possible. The extra bullet damage really comes in handy when dealing with heavily armoured threats or when fighting back a swarm of smaller enemies. Weapon handling continues to improve as the Weapon Specialist gains levels.

Tank
    Bonus: 25% more health.
The brute of the group, Tanks stand at the front and take hits that would otherwise knock out other classes. The extra health lets you play more aggressively, getting into the thick of things and coming out alive. Additional levels further improve the Tanks health in addition to their lethality.

Engineer
Bonus: Provide armour for the drill and earn more bonus cash.
Without a functioning drill, your team will have a very difficult time progressing. The Engineer offers much needed protection to the team's drill, incredibly useful during moments when you get overwhelmed. Drill maintenance and trap efficiency improve as the Engineer gains levels.

Medic
Bonus: Revive allies at a quicker rate.
When things go wrong, the Medics are there to pick up the pieces and get the team back in fighting condition. Fast revivals can mean the difference between success and failure, and an active Medic can help turn the tide of an intense battle. The Medic gains faster movement speed and powerful healing abilities with additional levels.

Multiplayer

Call of Duty: Ghosts is set to impress, with an inivative new multiplayer system, this game has gone up a level. With new perks, weapons, streaks ect, but that's just the start! There is the new character customisation, dynamic and semi-destructable maps and a lot of new game modes.

With the soldier customisation options, players are able to select what gender they want their soldier to be, as well as what sort of gear they want them to wear. With over 20,000 possible combinations, there will surely be more than enough to satisfy every player out there. Before you go thinking that different combinations may give an advantage over another, there isn't, there is no way to get an early advantage over others simply by selecting an outfit or gender. This means that to get an advantage, you need to show off your skills in-game.

Levels And Prestiges

In Call of Duty: Ghosts, players can get up to 10 squad soldiers, each of which can be prestiged once, meaning you can prestige 10 times in total. Once you prestige a soldier, you will keep all of their unlocks. There are 60 levels per prestige.

Each time you progress a level you will unlock points which can be used to unlock weapons, equipment, perks, streaks, or even a new squad soldier. This means that you can unlock any item in any order.

Below are the suspected emblems of all ten prestiges

Field operations are a new addition to the world of Call of Duty. Whilst playing games, players will randomly receive tasks to complete to earn extra xp and a random pointstreak. These field operations can include anything from getting a double kill, to a specific amount of headshots, to simply killing an amount of enemies going. Perhaps the most exciting of rewards obtainable from the field operations is the Odin Strike. This is similar to a Nuclear Strike or MOAB, but is only obtainable once in a game on only one map, Strike Zone. To obtain this, you need to be the first person to complete a field operation. This is sure to liven up the gameplay on the map.

Thank you so much for putting the time into making this. I'm so sick of all the spam surrounding news on this game, hopefully this becomes a sticky and some spam will be cut down.

Great topic.

Is League Play going to return?
No, League Play will not be making an appearance in Call of Duty: Ghosts. Instead, there will be the brand new Clan Wars mode where clans can play against other clan to gain clan xp and unlocks.
There will also be LAN lobbies and customisation available for eSports players. This will allow them to set up games to meet a specific criteria as well as allow others to watch the gameplay and cast it themselves.

If we purchase the current-gen version of the game, what can we do if/when we get next-gen consoles?
Currently, if you purchase a copy of Call of Duty: Ghosts for a current-gen console from GameStop within the first 30 days of its release, they will allow you to exchange the game as well as an extra $9.99 for the next-gen version. All information regarding this promotion can be found [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] .

As for other games retailers, you may have to enquire in-store, but there will most likely be similar promotions, perhaps just a slight change in extra cost.

Some retailers do not list Freefall as part of the content for the regular edition of the game, what should I do?
If you are purchasing the game from a fully-fledged games retailer, there shouldn't be a problem and if you pre-order a copy of the game it is certain to come with the Freefall DLC. If you plan to pre-order the game from a supermarket, then it is important to confirm with them as to whether or not the pre-orders will come with the specified DLC, as in the past there have been issues when they have not. The Freefall map will most likely be available with both pre-orders and first day purchases of the game. Please note that all copies of Call of Duty: Ghosts on the Wii U will come with the Freefall DLC.

I hope there are more shotguns than just two. That would be a disappointment.
