Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 is a 2008 real-time strategy video game developed by EA Los Angeles and published by Electronic Arts. Announced on February 14, 2008,[11] it was released on October 28, 2008 in the United States for Microsoft Windows-based PCs and three days later in Europe. A version for the Xbox 360 console was released in the U.S. on November 11. The PlayStation 3 version was delayed due to difficulties with the system's architecture.[8] On January 21, 2009 EA officially announced Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 - Ultimate Edition,[12] the PS3 version which contains bonus material extra to that of the Xbox 360 and PC versions. The Ultimate Edition has been released on March 23, 2009. Also announced for a late March release is the Mac OS version, converted to that platform by TransGaming.[10] The game forms a part of the Red Alert sub-series within the Command & Conquer series of games. In early January, EA Los Angeles announced a new addition to the game: Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 Uprising, a stand-alone single player expansion pack that was released for Windows in March 2009. It was offered via digital distribution.[13]




Story
Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3 follows 3 different storylines that vary drastically. The game follows one main storyline, with 3 different sides to choose from, and fulfill the story from those persepctives. The game follows 2 Soviet Generals that travel back in time to assassinate Albert Einstein. When they travel back, they realize that the Soviet Union has taken over most of Europe, and they had changed the course of history. The game follows 3 main persepctives, in which you can choose to play as the Soviets, the Allies, or the Rising Sun. The game features a unique storyline, with lots of interesting aspects to it, which gives its storyline scores a boost.




Graphics
The graphics in Command and Conquer: Red alert 3 are a variety of different colors, scenarios and so on. The game really has a great graphics system, that includes variety of colors, scenarios, and so on. There are various monuments in which you battle on, and all together there are tons of places to travel to and explore the various scenarios. There is an abundance of colors, scenarios, different places, etc. The only downside to the graphics portion is the fact that some aspects of the graphics may seem entirely too cartoonish, and may feel not as vivid. Also, some areas may seem glitcy, and buggy, with various errors.




Gameplay
Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3 is entirely a strategy game, and somewhat of a campaign game. The game is consisted of simply Commanding and conquering, as the title goes. You have to command certain armies based on which storyline you selected. The sophistication is very enhanced as well. Some aspects are various, as you can select which way to travel your men, and overall in general, there seems to be lots of time and effort seen throughout the game. There are various meters, to see various statistics, and really enhance the way you play strategy game. The only fallback in the game's gameplay, is the fact that it is not very different from its predecessor. The game really has no entirely major changes in the game engines and structure.




Reception
The reception for Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3 was overall satisfactory, with little if any major downsided reviews, or major low scores. IGN rated the overall game around an 8/10, saying "Great" as its main review. Other reviewing categories classified the game as being one of the best strategic games they had ever played, perfecting its predecssors in which it was elaborated off of. The game received some mostly positive reviews and scores from various critics.
