Synopsis(Wiki)
de Blob 2, previously known as de Blob: The Underground, is a sequel to the Wii exclusive 2008 platformer, de Blob. The game was released in North America on February 22, 2011, February 24, 2011 in Australia and February 25, 2011 in Europe. It is developed by the now defunct Blue Tongue Entertainment (except the DS version which was developed by Halfbrick Studios), and published by THQ.[1] The game was released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms in addition to the Wii and DS.[2] Additionally, it has been confirmed for the Nintendo 3DS handheld system.[3]

Story
The game follows a somewhat cliche kids story line. The game follows the adventures of de Blob, a multicolored complex liquid made monster thing, that delivers color and happiness to every scenario. When an unexpected visitor, Papa Blanc, arrives in town. Which really turns out to be Comrade Black, the previous villain from de blob 1, shows up. When Comrade Black turns the entire country to gray and black, it is up to Blob and his adventurous colored friends to return peace and happiness to the towns. The story follows different towns and scenarios, delivering your color to each individual area.

Graphics
de Blob2 will probably be taken as one of those games for Wii that is probably terrible and has no sense of gameplay what so ever. Although this may sometimes seem true, de Blob delivers a somewhat great graphics experience. The various colors and scenarios in this game are quite amazing. You might be in a gray junkyard with tons of black and darker colors, and then turn it into an amazing sight, even for a primary Wii game that was adapted towards consoles. The only complaint if any, in de Blob2's graphics system is the somewhat rough and bulk shapes system. For Wii and any other major consoles, the graphics are chunky, and clunky. The game also seems to have weird lighting throughout, which really dissapoints me.

Gameplay
The gameplay in de Blob2 consists of mainly puzzles and adventurous sequences. Although this is never a bad thing, this may deliver some repetitiveness to the game, and and on going loop of the same missions, and doings throughout the entire game. Although a large majority of the game consists on puzzles and what not, de blob also features an action side to the game. Blob and his friends have various ways of attacking and taking out enemies. Some enemies larger and stronger than others, but there are various ways to take them out. Also, along with action, you have unlockables and various other achievements to unlock. With points you can purchase and unlock various upgrades for blob and his friends. This game features a somewhat kid like feel to the game, approaching its audience, but then again, demeaning other amounts of compatibility.

Reception
Although the first game received somewhat poor reviews from various judges, the game received some positive feedback from some of the major reviewing companies, saying that the game definitely fulfilled its aspect of being a sequel and what not. From IGN it received a satisfying 8/10 claiming a very well constructed overall game. Although, from 1up it did receive an unexpected C+ claiming it boring and what not. But all in all, you have to understand it was somewhat intended to be a kids game. Metacritic also gave the game a satisfying 79/100, thus around 8/10 just as IGN. This game did receive some normalized reviews, which weren't a big surprise.
