Not everyone will survive. An ancient alien race, known only as "Reapers", has launched an all-out invasion leaving nothing but a trail of destruction in their wake. Earth has been taken, the galaxy is on the verge of total annihilation, and you are the only one who can stop them. The price of failure is extinction. You are Commander Shepard, a character that you can forge in your own image. You determine how events will play out, which planets to explore, and whom to form alliances with as you rally a force to eliminate the Reaper threat once and for all. How you wage this war is completely up to you: go into combat with guns blazing or use cover to plan a more tactical assault. Utilize your squad to full effect or take a lone wolf approach. Rain death from a distance or go toe-to-toe with enemies using devastating melee attacks. Mass Effect 3 will react to each decision you make as you play through a truly unique experience of your own creation.

This new addition to the Mass Effect series is going to bring new futures to the series including multiple endings to the campaign based upon your choices throughout the game play. The enemies are going to be larger and more intelligent than ever before. You will unlock an arsenal fully customizable with different upgrades such as scopes, grips, barrels and dozens of other attachments. Unique impacts and visual flairs have been added to every weapon. The variety of weapons, abilities, and equipment is going to be even more vast than in Mass Effect 2, which was Spikes 2010 Video Game Awards best selling Xbox 360 game.

Join your friends in the all-out galactic war to take Earth back. The universe of Mass Effect expands with the addition of new co-op multiplayer missions, playable over Xbox Live, PSN and PC internet. Players can choose from a variety of classes and races, form an elite Special Forces squad, and combine their weapons, powers and abilities to devastating effect as they fight together to liberate key territories from enemy control. Success in multi-player will have a direct impact on the outcome of the single player campaign, giving players an alternative method of achieving ultimate victory against the greatest threat mankind - and the entire galaxy - has ever faced.

Mass Effect 3 will be the first game of the series have an online mutiplayer option. Although it isn't a versus mode like many other games have, fans will be able to fight along side each other against a common threat. Multiplayer will make sense according to the campaign as you will have to take control of key conflict zones in the galaxy.
